My husband is retiring from law enforcement this week after 26 years of service, and I wanted to plan a special celebration getaway. I picked Killgore after years of talking about it. Our captain was Eric, who was awesome, and I totally recommend asking for him. He was super knowledgeable and funny, and he had great stories. Our boat was the Top Gun. All seats are good, but the back seats, you are guaranteed to eat water. That's where we sat. I watched a wall of water come for my husband, and I don't think either of us had laughed so hard in a long time.
This trip was full of super cool history, lots of wildlife, a great little picnic, and a ton of laughs. Our weather was perfect.
We will be doing this trip again.

We enjoyed the jet boat tour. This was a very professional operation with really nice boats. This was our second jet boat tour so having a boat with a cover kept the sun off us and made it more enjoyable. Captain Eric and Cassidy were a lot fun. Captain Eric was very knowledgeable of the area and the river. He really made the trip a blast with his fun personality, very kind and experienced so we felt safe splashing in the white water rapids. Cassidy was always there to help us on and off the boat and she was fun to talk with. She even jumped in the water off the rock with the kids. We enjoyed the stops at the little museum, the lunch at the ranger station and the beach. I had my 78 year old mother and my aunt along with my husband and we all had a great time. There were lots of drinks on board for us. The only that was confusing was the time zone change in the area. You have to check in at the Kilgore store and then drive or take a paid shuttle 22 miles to the launch site. Compared to the other some of the other jet boat operations in the area I really felt this was a bigger more professional operation. Our captain had over 20 years experience on that boat.

The tour was fantastic, the captain kept things interesting and added a bit of adventure! Amanda our deck hand was outstanding making sure we all had anything we needed.

We had a wonderful time with Kilgore Adventures and would highly recommend the Hell’s Canyon jet boat tour! Captain Rusty and his crew were great!

We enjoyed the day trip from Pittsburgh Landing to Hells Canyon Dam and back. Jim and Carter took good care of us and provided a fun experience. The trip is exciting but not terrifying, appropriate for most ages. Plan on getting wet (our boat did have dry cubbies that could accommodate a purse). They supply your fill of water and soda, and a sack lunch (don't skip breakfast, it's not huge). Their store is well stocked if you need to purchase provisions when you check in. Looking forward to doing it again sometime.

What a wonderful trip. Saw some big horn sheep, mountain goats, eagles and a bear. I had a smile on my face the whole trip. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Going through here and I had to make a stop for this Rafting trip. Absolutely pleased with the checkin, staff, and the ships captain Jim. Great seats, cold drinks throughout the day. Must go in this trip, great for all ages! Fun, and great views of the area. The captain was respectful for rafters and kayaker and fishermen. But once he passed them, it was on! Highly recommend this!!

The entire family had a great time go up the Snake with Jim & Carter. They were a ton of fun and were an awesome crew. The rapids were a lot of fun on a very hot day in the canyon. Jim made sure to keep us all cooled off. We are definitely planning our next trip.

We had a fantastic ride! Lots of rapids, stopped at some great sights, fantastic crew and even saw some wildlife. Wonderful way to spend my birthday. Loved it!

I want to do this Jet Boat Trip with my 83 year old mother, who is in good health. This is on her "bucket list". Is there a lot of getting knocked around or do you mostly stay in your seat? Just want to be sure its safe for her.

I know from experience you get what you pay for after doing another outfitter two years ago and then Kilgore this October. I can tell you it was worth the extra bucks it cost!

I see that someone else has also asked this question, but I was hoping some more people would chime in with a response. I had a recent injury to my back but it is healing well. Our trip is in a month and I'm wondering how jarring and impactful the rapids portion of jet trip is? Just need some guidance on whether I should cancel my trip or not. Thanks!

I have a horrible back, but this didn’t bother it at all. The boat is very comfortable and even going over the rapids was great!

is the trip rough where you bounce off your seat. Do you have to hold on to something during the white water part? also can you stay where you have lunch while the rest of the group does the white waters at the dam and be picked up on way back??? thanks

Our trip wasn't too rough. The big boat handles things well. If you want to get wet the back of the boat gets sprayed. The water was high. The character of the rapids changes with high to medium to low water. Some rapids get smaller, some get bigger. We had a one way hiker shuttle upstream. Kilgore had great service on the phone. I'm sure you could call them and get all your questions answered.

HI ! Planning a jet boat trip around 9/21/2015, a bit confused about the trips, transportation from White Bird to boat and lodging , Is transportation/shuttle provided to boat?

We stayed at the motel and took the shuttle from there. We were glad that we did as it was a pretty long drive and a very steep gravel road. I guess it depends on where you are going after the trip is over...I agree with everyone else's answers, and we also had a delightful Jet Boat trip with Killgores....
