I love books, so this was fun for me. Basically, it's a used book store with multiple floors. The multiple levels makes it more enjoyable then the average used book store.

Suggested time to stay of 1-2 hours is not enough. Three floors of all sorts of books. Great selection of books for children. Science book section good in math - but a little think in the other areas. Online search makes finding a particular book easy - just ask the staff for help. Bring books in for a trade-in credit.

What a hidden gem! 3 floors of used and new books! Just entering the store it had the aroma of books! The friendly woman at the front counter took me to the exact location of the book I was looking for. It was not there but she hunted it down for me and held it. Only looking for 1 but came out with about 10 books. Children’s books were in order by the author. Good website for searching if it is in stock. Most books I needed were in the $ 3.50 to $ 4.00 range. They take trade ins and run a store credit and donate what they cannot use for you.

A store map will help (no, it's probably necessary) you navigate your way through this incredible collection (70,000+) of books. The front desk worker was extremely helpful in pointing me in the "right direction."

This place just smells like heaven! If you like a good used book store you will love this place. They have a map it is big. Had books for around the world and a whole room of cook books! Also some great little reading spots if you wanted to stay awhile. Staff was so friendly with great dinner recommendation.... worth a trip downtown!

Whenever my wife and I visit a town for a few days, we always make a point of finding a good book store, especially one that sells rare or out-of-print of hard-to-find books. We found one in Champaign, Illinois. Jane Addams Book Shop at 208 North Neil Street stocks more than 70,000 titles in 15 separate rooms on three floors. It's the kind of book store I love to spend time browsing through. Unfortunately, it wasn't in business when I was a student at the University of Illinois in 1958-62. It opened in 1984. But it covers every subject I am interested in--Civil War, World War II, Hollywood, Old West, ancient Greece and Rome, sports and biography. Book stores like this hard few and far between, as hard to find as a book on the Mormon migration to Utah, which I found in a book store in Nauvoo, Illinois, after a long search. At my visit to the Jane Addams Book Shop, I came away with rare books on Hollywood actress Jean Arthur, little known frontiersman Finn Burnett, the First Division's invasion of Omaha Beach on D-Day and a fascinating expose of what happened at Pearl Harbor and Midway written by a code-breaker who witnessed it all. If this book stores doesn't have a book you are looking for, it probably hasn't been written yet.

Wide variety of book choices. Three floors and all well displayed. Enjoyed speaking with the manager about books and she gave recommendations. Fun store to spend some time in.

It has been advertised as a store with 3 stories' worth of books. I imagined a huge warehouse when my husband told me about it when checking out attractions for our vacation. While it wasn't the warehouse that I imagined; it was a lot better! I climbed to the upper levels in this store and kept discovering room after room after room of books!

Great stop with any reader. The prices at this used bookstore were outstanding and there was a good selection on older books.

Located downtown in an old store front building, this is a good place to browse if you like books. No one rushes you, and you can sit down to take a look at what is available. Evening hours (closes at 7:30 on Friday) accommodates those that are waiting for a reservation from a nearby restaurant, to that have had an early dinner.
