I liked sitting outside at this bar and the DJ-ed music inside was fun also. I wasn't super impressed with my dirty martini, which consisted almost entirely of olive brine. I had to send it back it was so salty, and I was charged for it. Kind of a bummer.

21 hours into a 30 hour road trip, I pulled into Champaign hoping to find a place like this...local flavor in a great college town. I wasn't disappointed. I had the spicy pork tacos and a pint of the locally brewed porter (I was done driving for the night). This is exactly what my stomach and my soul needed!

Been going to Cowboy Monkey for a few years and they always have consistently great food quality and music scene. They also have a nice outside patio area to sit and chill!

Our waitress was wonderful and just love hanging outside listening to music. Great food, great drinks, great service every time.

sevilesi mekandır. Rock müzik sevenler için cuma cumartesi akşamları müthiş konserler olur. Arkadaşlarınızla oturup içip müzik dinlemek ya da bazen dans etmek istiyorsanız güzeldir. Çarşamba günleri salsa günü var bir sürü ispanyol maksikalı porto rico lu ortalarda geziniyor. ama inanılmaz eğlenceli. Hey ne ise güzeldir cowboy monkey :)

Cowboy Monkey may have a quirky name, but it's a decent choice for casual dining in Champaign's vibrant downtown entertainment district.
Tucked away on Taylor Street, the Monkey may be a little hard to spot
the first time, but on summer evenings it is THE place to be. It offers live entertainment and a good assortment of beers, wines and other alcoholic beverages, but also has a pleasing assortment of appetizers and more solid fare like quesadillas, tacos, sandwiches and salads. Dining there recently, I went for the fish tacos with lettuce, cabbabe, tomatoes and citrus tartar sauce; the tacos arrived
with small pieces of batter-fried cod slathered with the sauce, with the toppings on the side; for the price I paid, I really expected there to be more food. My dining partners, however, enjoyed more appropriate portions with their sandwiches. The interior is small so most of the action happens outside, but smoking in Champaign now can occur only outdoors so you may end up inhaling more secondhand smoke than you'd like. If you aren't terribly hungry and want a good place to hang out with friends for happy hour or on a Saturday night, though, the Monkey is definitely the place to be.
