This place sucks and the people who work there are rude. With so many venues in Chicago don't waste your time or money here.

I went here to see a dub-step show last weekend. It as a cool vibe, lots of bars set up throughout, clean bathrooms, etc. The only issue was it was hotter than a sauna for the entire show. I'm pretty sure I was sweatier than I've ever been, including when I went to an actual sauna the next day. I hope I never have to come here again.

I saw Subtronics and Blunts n' Blondes on Thursday Feb 7th 2019. It was my first and only time going to the Concord. The music was amazing, but the rest of my experience was underwhelming to say the least. The venue was smaller than I expected and definitely too small for the size of the crowd it was trying to hold. They cut the show at 11pm so they could force everyone out and make you buy a second ticket to the "After Show" and the security was more aggressive than any other show I have been to thus far. I paid $28 for a ticket and another $25 for parking to see a 3 hour show. Also, considering the weather, they seemed to have no regard for the safety of their customers at the 11pm cutoff time. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I don't know if that is the usual, but in this case, I would go back in time and save my money if I could.

Very nice venue for a concert. Seating available, Pizza, snacks, and beverages available. Large clean restrooms.I would definitely go back again!

Went there to see lil Suzy freestyle concert, the venue is great, but be prepared to spend a whole lot of money on drinks. The beer is $10 a cup. We had two beers and two shots of patron $42 lol so it’s a little expensive

I arrived for a metal concert and The Concord Music Hall looked promising. It is a three story venue—security/tickets on the first, coat check on the second and the performance venue on the third. Neat.
LEVEL ONE:
Processing downstairs was a four-step, invasive but speedy procedure: ID check at the door; body pat down & rummage through your belongings and pockets; will call/ticket sales; then, the final ticket check.
LEVEL TWO:
We proceeded to the second level and checked our coats/bag.
LEVEL THREE:
Made it! And we were hopeful.
We came here for the music (Alestorm & Gloryhammer). They were AWESOME! Despite the sound clipping problems. Despite the speakers not handling the bass. Maybe a good low pass on the backtrack would have helped? Despite the tin can blare. Despite the over-aggressive security and NO MOSH PIT! What? I guess the staff expected an aggressive crowd. But really? You mean because Gloryhammer sang about unicorns and Alestorm—a fun pirate metal band that has an inflatable duck on stage?
Just like that time at Billy Bobs Texas in Ft Worth when they booked, "The Kansas Fiddle Band" not knowing that it was Kansas, the rock hippie smoke a joint band. And when hundreds of long-haired hippies showed up, the staff freaked. But there were no incidents there either.
So loosen up, Concord. I would trust a metal band crowd over ANY country crowd.
I don't understand why music venues don't create good music stages. The Concord Music Hall is another example of a bad stage build with no concept of design for music besides crank up the volume and hope for the best.
And why did they shew everyone out immediately after the show at 11pm on a Friday? Can't we stay and have a beer! You sell beer and drinks. Why would you care if a bunch of metal heads hung out and had a drink or two. And talk about the show and have that intimate experience of meeting other fun people. Maybe, see the bands and watch the stage breakdown. It's like being behind the scenes.
All in all, it was not a terrible venue, but just an average place with strict rules. No Moshing. Monitored crowd surfing, and a bad stage/sound design.

My friend and I read some negative reviews online and we were a little leery of the Concord before we arrived. Much to our pleasant surprise, it was super easy to get in... I'm totally cool with you patting people down in 2018 ok? If you're getting static from these people it's because you can't hold it together or you don't know how to act. The security guards looked out for me and my girl all night. We were dressed up and receiving some unwanted attention from an extra drunk patron and they handled it without being asked. Unique venue with lots of nooks and crannies to explore ...fantastic art...my one gripe? Walmart water. I'll gladly pay for Fiji darlings. I would come here a lot if I lived in Chicago. PS I paid 35 to dance 15 ft away from Deadmau5 all night. Best 35 bucks i eva spent.

I knew it was not a large venue, but they sure packed in the people for this one!
A bit disappointed the stage was a little low - and I had a couple 6+ footers standing in front of me!!
Schenker was great playing over two and a half hours!!

My friend and I purchased VIP tickets for the chicago nye ball 2018 at this venue, and it was a scam. As we questioned the staff regarding the VIP section they said it did not exist, that there is nothing needed to identify us as "VIP". We explained that we paid extra for "VIP"... he said we shouldn't have issues receiving a refund for the VIP portion since this service was not provided. However, this venue denied it and as a result our money wasn't refunded. This was not only deceitful but then they unprofessionally handled this matter. Shameless!
