Go and enjoy you will not be sorry. The beers wee really hood they had a good selection. Food us available i just drank so cant review that piece but it looked dood.

Didn't book the tour but turned up with hope. Pouring with rain so only 15 of us for
the tour. Having paid $10 you immediately get a can of Daisy Cutter, then Jack takes
you on tour. After about 20 minutes you get a pint glass, you can keep it, and a choice
of another pint, 20 minutes later another pint. A light hearted and informative tour.
Did not dine in the tap room.

Limited menu although food was tasty...place small and a very young crowd.Seen the reviews on check please really fell short from what we seen on that show.We would not drive this far again for what we actually experienced once visited.

The beer is amazing!! I love the Bodem!!! The food is really tasty too!! This is my wife’s favorite brewery in Chicago! It is a great atmosphere in here too! Watch out for seating though!! This is a very small spot!! 1 in and 1 out a lot of the time!! The tour is super fun!!! If you love beer; you gotta go to Half Acre!! It is a Chicago beer classic!! Who doesn’t love drinking a Daisy Cutter???!!!! C’Mon!!! Soo Good!!!

Half Acre, one of the many local breweries here in the Ravenswood Area is probably the best known since some of their flagship beers like Daisy Cutter and Tuna are ubiquitous across the city even in a place like Wrigley which is better known for "big beer" offerings. This is the original location Half Acre location with a much larger brewpub and brewery site a few miles north. Half Acre makes a variety of styles but are probably best known for their pale ales and IPA's. They brew most of their beer at the Balmoral location but Half Acre still brews new and/or experimental styles here, one of which was a great IPA with lactose well before the current milkshake craze.
This location offers a small brewpub where you can try a variety of their beer on tap and enjoy some food (burritos as well as typical gastropub level bar food). The brewpub is typically packed so I usually skip it and head next door to the shop to sample some of their beers as well as fill a growler or two. Staff are happy to chat about beer and provide you with tastes of what they have on tap. This shop is solely for the purchase of beer to go so if you want to get a pint you'll need to head next door or to one of the many local restaurants with Half Acre beer on tap. Since this location is used to brew Half Acre's experimental beers you may find something new and interesting in addition to collaborations with other craft breweries. You can bring in or purchase a growler or howler to fill or grab beer out of their cooler. They also sell a variety of swag from glassware to t-shirts and even locally made hot sauce.

We sampled a few a couple of days before the tour and we weren't disappointed. We had already booked a tour online and we enjoyed it very much. Morgan was an excellent tour guide! She was laid back but very knowledgeable. The samples were fresh and tasty.
Forget the "hints of orange peel and rasberries, crap!" This is beer and it rocked!! Thank you guys for a great product.

The staff was more than willing to tell me details on every beer that I ordered, offer samples of similar styles and suggestions for cans to take home.

We were recommended here by our local brew master. Out of all the breweries we tours in Chicago this ranked lowest on our list. Hipster central with a per capita stroller scene right out of Baby Gap. Way too loud to hold a convo. We could have seen past all that if the beer had been better. The flight we had sampled across the board (sans IPA's) was mediocre at best. Left 2 of the 4 after the first taste. Disappointing and out of the way for not so great beer.

Small place, great beer. Come here and get your favorite Half Acre Beer from the source. I came here with a friend and we held a fantasy football draft from our phones. It was incredibly busy, even during the day, and seats were at a premium. Nonetheless, the beer was worth the wait. Beware, the food menu is limited.

Not the easiest place to get to but worth the effort. Great beer and loved the burritos. Very good service as well, very friendly and attentive.
