We visited and had breakfast at the market on a rainy Saturday, of tamales, a cheesy breakfast sandwich, a cinnamon roll, and a whole bunch of other free samples. Everyone was super friendly, good quality produce and food, and lots of cute dogs.

Don't miss out on this great opportunity to enjoy the freshest food you can find. This is where the top chefs come for fresh, high quality, in season produce. It is worth the trip every week. Go see Jerry at Froggy Meadow Farms. Or Nichols Farm with their huge selection. Both of these farms use the best growing practices. You will not find any "poser" farmers here.

Grab a coffee at Elaine's at the Hotel Lincoln and hit the Green City Market. You'll get great local produce from IL, WI and MI plus lots of great prepared foods. Grab some cheese curds from WI, a grilled cheese, pies from Hoosier Mama and much much more! Enjoy the crowds and bring the kids. There are great kids activities, too!

I visited this market during a trip to Chicago in late October and it was still going strong outdoors. There was an excellent assortment of fresh fruit and veggies, meat and dairy items, flowers and plants, and prepared foods like sauces, baked goods and beverages. I liked that the vendors had signs showing how far away they were based, and I really liked that there were so many products available to sample. Many shoppers had dogs, and it was clear that this was a popular destination for local residents.

The Green City Market near the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago is the area's best farmers market that is focused on local food produced with care. Every vendor is required to maintain some type of 3rd party certification, such as Animal Welfare Approved or Certified Organic, to ensure that only the highest standards are meet.

Especially nice in the Peggy Notebart museum during the winter months, typical farmer's market with Chicago fare. Get there early for the best selections!

Oui c est du local et souvent bio ... mais bon un peu trop Bobo a mon goût ..mais c est un endroit sympa pour manger sur Le pouce .. les sandwiches au fromage sont délicieux , les smoothies également . Si vs êtesdans le parc de Lincoln cela peut être sympa de pique niquer à cet endroit . Marche le samedi et mercredi jusqu’à 13 h

We live in Vermont, so we know a real farmer's market when we see one, not just a venue to serve up food. This is it folks. My husband is a big sourdough bread baker, so where ever we travel, we seek out bread bakeries and farmer's markets. This market has lots of produce and flower vendors, amazing locally produced products from breads and dried meats, black garlic to jams, soaps and salsas to name a few! You can eat here as well but it was clear this is a place folks go to buy local for their weeks groceries. There are lots of vendors and with the lake a walk away, it should be on everyone's "to do" list.

Lots of unique food and flower vendors selling locally produced fresh food and beautiful fresh flowers. In addition to organic produce, there are lots of bakeries and “ the worlds best” grilled cheese. This is a great idea for Saturday breakfast or brunch on your way to the Lincoln park zoo.

Great farmer's market in Lincoln Park. Went on both Wednesday and Saturday. As you might imagine, Saturday is super crowded, but plenty of space to walk around and vendors weren't in any danger of running out of produce. Everything looked amazing. Flowers beautiful. Had a grilled cheese at one of the vendors - great for a picnic in the park. Lots of meats as well. Farm fresh eggs. All good!
