For some reason they still did not open this museum, despite the Covid's over.
It was another disappointment just minutes after the first one at Rookery building (read that review).
So, if planning to visit double check by phone in order not to waste your time like us.

Вход бесплатный через рамку-металоискатель; нужен документ, удостоверяющий личность; интерактивный и очень информативный. Есть возможность посетить лекцию - очень советуем! Море информации о мире денег от человека, работающего в системе, правда он юрист, а не финансист. На память можно забрать мешочек с долларами из шрёдера, а ещё мгновенное фото с миллионом баксов в чемоданчике. Думаю, детям тоже интересно будет.

I would recommend this museum to all ages. The federal staff of all jobs and responsibilities volunteer for an informational talk in a meeting room. We had a gentleman who was up the corporate ladder who loved to talk. He was delightful and funny.
The museum is small and the space is used wisely. Go see a million dollars. Or pick up free money (shredded) Get educated.

If you are in town you should visit this museum it’s very interesting and it’s also free. There is a cube of 1 million dollars and also some free shredded money.

This museum is a great place to learn about the history of the US money system. There are interactive exhibits, a short movie and even shredded money to take home. Its free!

I stopped in with a friend because we are huge Hamilton fans and we’d heard there was a little Alexander Hamilton exhibit. We weren’t expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised. There’s quite a few hands-on exhibits and we had a great time learning about spotting counterfeit, the details on paper money, and when money should be shredded. We even got free baggies of real shredded money and printed picture of ourselves with a case of a million dollars. That’s pretty big value for a free museum! It’s not large, but you could spend about an hour here if you read every plaque and played every game. We had a great time!

This small museum on the ground floor of the Federal Reserve Bank, is a shrine to all things monetary. Much of the museum is given over to the way currencies developed over time and were affected by various global events, with plenty of old coins, bank notes and other such historical artefacts to illustrate this. The other half of the museum is full of eye-catching displays such as the cube holding a million one dollar bills and the game that allows you to take control of the nation's purse-strings. You can get a picture taken with a million dollars and take home a bag of shredded bank notes too. We got chatting to a very friendly lady working here, who told us a lot about the museum and had some funny stories about the questions kids ask when they visit on school trips. This was a lot more fun than I expected and a nice way to pass a bit of time in the heart of the financial district.

I hadn't been to this museum since I was a kid in the 80s, but happened to be in the area with husband and 2 teenage boys in tow, and thought we'd take a look.
Free museum with a little bit of something for everyone-- more to read/see/learn for adults, and some interactive exhibits to keep the kids learning, but also entertained.
Don't miss the free Fed Shreds shredded money packs as a souvenir and also the opportunity to take/print a photo of you with a suitcase of lots of $$!
Because this is located within the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, be prepared to go through a thorough security screening before entering the museum.

The Chicago Fed website says they opened a Hamilton exhibit in November of 2017.
I would like know how make mew money do your throw all or do your destroy it? But plan would be to revese it turn to the bank and get new bills for it that it cost for the paper make on and the plate you can this better place to live donation different and business and send stuff to oversea built up 3 rd world countries don't have to live poverty and home and shopping in they language. Ms Obama have to say Michael Jackson we are children make better place live in oversea.

When you visit the Federal Reserve Bank you can take a bag of "Fed Shreds" which is real US currency which was shredded. I hope this answers your question.

Hello, We look forward to your visit! The Brown Line's Quincy station is on the west side of our building. Walk south about half a block and turn east onto Jackson. Walk about one block to LaSalle Street and turn left. We are located at the corner of LaSalle and Jackson. Our front entrance is currently under renovation, so you'll find our doors under the construction canopy. Use any door to enter our lobby. One of our staff will be able to point you to the entrance to the museum. Make sure you pick up some shredded money during your visit!
