In theory this experience sounded fun. I overpaid to take my family and another family out on this Tiki boat. Let's just say that this particular vessel does not belong on Lake Michigan. The boat was dirty and old. We were promised iced when we got picked up and there was an empty cooler they had to call somebody to bring a miniature bag of ice. Once we got moving we asked to go to the playpen. It was the wavy most frightening experience ever. The whole front end of the boat kept getting completely submerged and tons of water were seeping in several times it felt like the boat was going to tip. I kept saying to the captain this is not normal. All 4 adults on the boat were terrified and my husband doesn't get terrified often. Water was seeping into the boat and we were worried our kids were going to pop out. Once we got to the playpen it was calm but then the ride back was is worse as the ride there. Definitely near tipping experience and this was NOT an exaggeration. We finally got back to shore and were thankful for Captain Thomas and first mate Leonard to get us there. Although they were very nice, I told them that the boat ride was not safe and he agreed he would speak with the owner of the boat. The owner of this company needs to remove this boat from the water ASAP.

We were set to go on a 12 person boat for today. I emailed them days prior to ask questions. No response. The NIGHT before, they send me the email the effect of “oopsie daisies your boat is cancelled derrr... bye!”. They cancelled our trip the night before when we had 6 people fly in, spend money on hotels. We also spent a lot of money making food for before the boat. Garbage company. You will pay, get all the confirmations and then cancel and according to all the other reviews, they do this on a regular basis. I pray every small business gets through covid-19 but you are the exception.

Have a boat rental for today and no captain. This seems like a frequent issue for this company. Not sure how they conduct their rentals but their customer service and professionalism is horrible!!! After this tour I will be back to give am additional update. Hopefully the new captain gets it together!!!

Whoa. This front start to finish was a train wreck. Charlsie at Chicago Tiki Boat called me 2 DAYS before my rental and told me that the boat we rented got quintuple booked for the time we wanted by another employee so she just refunded me my money. I was like, "uh, can you maybe try to find a solution to this problem rather than just canceling my rental 2 days before for something that was 0% my fault". After being asked and 4 hours of frantically trying to find a solve on my end for my sister's bachelorette party Charlsie did find a boat. Great, now we can move on. WRONG. I contacted them was request a discount due to the insane amount of stress and inconvenience and was DENIED. WHAT. The absolute WORST customer service. Ok, so we all get on the boat and have a nice time other than the CAPTAIN SLAPPING MY SISTER'S BUTT on the boat and staring at us while we danced. WHAT. SO GROSS. I contacted Charlsie and Pablo (so called manager or owner) and they didn't care one bit. So, to recap, Chicago Tiki boat is unprofessional, rude, terrible managing their company and believe that sexual harassment from their employees is ok.

We took it from pier 2 . It left on time
The boat was clean. The speaker system was very poor, only on one side you could hear it, with the result we missed out on all the commentary. It was good to see the lock .

Went to celebrate some birthdays. We had very nice, young captains that came with us, and were very fun and professional. Love that you can bring all your own food and drinks! Such a great day.

We had a great time! The crew was welcoming and friendly. They really extended themselves to ensure everyone had fun. We had a wide range of ages in our group, from a toddler on up to seniors and everything in between, and there was something for everyone (swimming, water slide, BYOB, grill, music, sight seeing). The views of the city skyline from the boat at night are unparalleled. We made memories and got some really cool pictures with the lake and the city's architecture in the background. The evening timeslot was the best of all worlds: daylight skyline, sunset, and the city all aglow - gorgeous! Could not have asked for more.

erano passate da poco le 11 quando siamo arrivati all'imbarcadero, ma la prima partenza del battello delle 11.30 era gia' al completo e siamo riusciti a trovare posto soltanto nella partenza del taro pomeriggio delle 16.30 in quanto erano overbooking anche le due successive delle 13,30 e delle 15.00... il tour della barca che abbiamo preso noi era il piu' completo perche' prevedeva la navigazione sul lago Michigan .e anche nelle ramificazioni interne della citta' . Direi interessante poiche' nella seconda parte si possono ammirare le architetture delle costruzioni fatte lungo le sponde delle varie ramificazioni che penetrano nella citta'.

Pour fêter un anniversaire nous avions loué ce bateau avec tobogan et fait un pic nic dessus tout en faisant une promenade musicale sur le lac pour voir Chicago depuis le lac, un grand plaisir et comme il faisait beau nous nous sommes baignés, grande belle journée de fête!

I went on the tiki boat last night with my friends and we had an excellent time! You have a choice of anchoring and playing in Lake Michigan (there's a slide on the boat) or you can go down the Chicago river. We chose the river on a 7:00-10:00 p.m. cruise and the sunset and architecture were beautiful. We had two great captains, William and Luke; Luke had great architectural information for us. You can bring your own alcohol and there's a grill on board. Perfect evening!
