We drove to 6 flags on our way to Chicago and were very disappointed in the lack of maintenance and communication about rides. We got there early and planned our rides. Nowhere did it say that out of the few large coasters, 2 were not running at all and a third was running only sometimes. We got to the first one - broken- raced to the second - broken and by now lines were ridiculous at the last couple. The third coaster, Superman, kept breaking down with passengers on it, but we waited (These riders were hanging face down in their seats for 20+ minutes! The week before, an hour!) In a day, we were able to only go on a few coasters because of the lines. Raging Bull started up around 4 and after waiting, broke down with passengers halfway through the ride! I don't want rides running that are unsafe, but closed ones should be communicated outside of the park - we have been to a few amusement parks and although the coasters that worked were fantastic, I don't feel this was good value at all.
