Play ball!
2021年6月 • 独自旅游
People denigrate this ballpark. It's not as historic as Wrigley Field, as stunning as PNC Park, as cozy as Orioles Park. But it's still a fine place to watch a ball game. Sox fans are diverse, friendly enough, and generally baseball-savvy. Concessions are fine - normal expensive ballpark prices. It's easy to reach. I had fun.

White Sox Game Experience
2021年9月 • 好友
I would like to thank the White Sox for a great time. Parking was a issue and I had a suite which numerous White Sox employees didn’t understand that I was trying to park there (I am 23 so I can understand that). I would like to thank a particular employee (Tom Marrow). He helped with my parking situation and was extremely helpful. He was kind, helpful, and made the whole experience incredible. I am thankful for Tom and had a great time at the White Sox game.

If you’re a White Sox fan, see them somewhere else. Traffic and parking make getting there impossible. We were so frustrated by the time the game was supposed to start we turned around and headed home. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had trying to get to any ballpark.

Don't do the message board
2021年8月 • 夫妻情侣
Don't do a message board. Waste of 90 dollars. I emailed multiple times and took them weeks to finally call back. The message didn't come up they didn't send me a confirmation email to say when out message would be up there. She said sorry I did might of went to spam.. even though I got the first one fine?? and that she couldn't help me. Never got my photo of it either. I don't even want it at this point what a waste of money on something that was meant to be a birthday surprise spent hundreds of dollars to get great seats months ahead of time. Bought merchandise. All of that for this special game but this left such a bad taste I don't think we will ever be back. Terrible customer service. Lost a fan.

SLOWEST entry experience in MLB
I've been to every MLB stadium in the USA, so I feel qualified to comment on the unbelievably slow procedure to enter the stadium. We got off the Red Line and the line to enter the stadium was nearly backed up there. There were several hundreds of people waiting in line to enter. After a while, when it became apparent we were going to miss the first 3-4 innings, we walked around the line to the next entrance and were in within 10 minutes. Once in, the lines for food were awful! I guess that could be because it's so hard to find help these days. Or just plain BAD management. I will not be back.

My experience at Guaranteed Rate Field was nothing short of amazing! The parking lots are huge along with great tailgating, a number of ways of transportation to get there, the food is among the best in MLB, and the ticket prices are very reasonable. In addition, the neighborhood is very safe. Many areas around the park are also being gentrified.

Solid Major League Park

I have visited the park numerous times. All seats are good, even the 500 section around the bases. Spend extra time getting to the park as traffic is difficult

It isn't Wrigley or Fenway but it is fan friendly
Even if you aren't a fan of the Chicago White Sox, Guaranteed Rate Field is a fan friendly baseball stadium that knows how to treat its patrons. Located at 333 West 35th Street on Chicago's South Side, at the Dan Ryan Expressway, at Shields, in the Armour Square neighborhood, it opened in 1991 across the street from the site of Comiskey Park, which occupied the space for 81 years before being demolished in 1991. You can still see Old Comiskey Park's home plate on the north side of Guaranteed Rate Field by Gate 5 in Parking Lot B. I have visited Guaranteed Rate Field and I visited the park when it was Comiskey Park, then U.S. Cellular Field. With all due respect, I have fonder memories of Old Comiskey Park, home to Minnie Minoso, Billy Pierce and Nellie Fox, where Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig played. While Guaranteed Rate Field doesn't compare to the acknowledged cathedrals of major league baseball--Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field and Fenway Park--it does feature some attractions that set it apart from other parks. It is fan friendly, from easy access to convenient parking to superlative views of the playing field to the best concessions in MLB. For adult fans, there is the Home Plate Club, The Patio, Fan Deck, Goose Island and Craft Kave. For young White Sox fans, there is the 15,000-square-foot Kids Zone that provides an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball. By the numbers, Guaranteed Rate Field houses 103 luxury suites on two levels as well as 1,822 club seats on the mezzanine level between the lower deck and the upper deck. It also has 400 wheelchair/accessible seats, 38 public restrooms, 12 escalators and 15 elevators. All fans have access to the ChiSox Bar & Grill, a multi-level restaurant and bar inside Gate 5 and Chicago Sports Depot, which is located next to ChiSox Bar & Grill at Gate 5 and sells White Sox, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and Fire merchandise. Sorry, if you want to purchase Cubs merchandise, you'll have to hop the north-bound El and go to Wrigley Field. For historians, there are sculptures of former White Sox stars Minnie Minoso, Carlton Fisk, Billy Pierce, Nellie Fox, Luis Aparicio, Harold Baines, Frank Thomas, Paul Konerko and Jim Thome and former owner Charles Comiskey. Twelve retired numbers are noted on the facade of the first and third base sides of the 300 level. Win or lose, fans are treated to the best concessions, from Beggar's Pizza to Buona Beef to Burger Barn to Nashville Hot Chicken to Southern Fried Pork Chop Sandwiches to Antique Taco to Irish Nachos to Chicago-style hot dogs to fresh squeezed lemonade to Churro Ice Cream Sandwich to Bacon Popcorn to Draft Beer and Midwest Brews to Bacon Cheddar Pretzel Dogs to Chili and Cheese Fries to Cuban sandwiches to Polish Platter to Buffalo Chicken Empanada to Mexican-style Torta to Bang Bang Chicken Salad. With the White Sox contending for the American League pennant, Guaranteed Rate Field is becoming a popular go-to destination, complete with fireworks erupting from the center-field scoreboard.

Is not Wrigley Field but it's not bad
The place is rally easy to get to via the L and the tickets for the game are really cheap, other than that is a nice stadium that gets chilly in the outfield, drinks are really expensive in comparison to other ballparks.

Standard Stadium Experience.
Really nondescript. I grew up in Pittsburgh with the concrete monolith Three Rivers and this reminded me somewhat of that. Not much character at all. It's also not really near anything. It was cheap which was good. I should note I am not a sports fan so go really to see the stadiums and soak up the experience. This felt like a stadium that was an island in the middle of nowhere with no distinctive features. Fans were fine but not much energy (poss because of covid restrictions keeping the numbers down). My nephews were into it so that was great and my son now says he's a White Sox fan but the travel experience is unremarkable.
