Rather unkempt. Huge space, but the majority of the rooms looked like the aftermath of a garage sale. Things literally in piles on floor. Too bad for the folks who keep their consignment rooms neat that the majority are just in heaps.

You must walk two flights of stairs to get to this shop housed in an old apartment building. I found the building more interesting than the merchandise sold there. A lot of garage sale type stuff is for sale and fewer real antiques are offered, but the building architecture is amazing and worth a look if you’re into historic buildings. Merchandise is spread throughout many former apartment rooms. It was extremely warm and stuffy the day I visited in mid-August. Fans were running in some of the rooms but it was still hot.

If you have time, this is a great place to visit. In addition to the items, you get to see what an apartment building looked like in 1892!

Three floors packed solid in every room. Stuff you haven't seen in 40 years or maybe never and some no reason you ever should! It's worth the walk through just for the experience of seeing all the items! And some of the stuff I am still using at home. Didn't know I could actually get money for it! After traveling three floors the only thing I bought was a china head of Scarlet O'Hara so I can make the doll to go with it.

The biggest negative about this place is you have to walk up a LOT of stairs to get into it. Once in, the building is almost more fun than the antiques sold. The antiques are not nicely arranged, so you have to search through quite a bit of junk ... but there are a few treasures to find ... and as I said, the old building is absolutely wonderful!

So we were not able to explore the third floor. The building itself is a wonderful architectural wonder, with three stories and LARGE windows. A steep wide wooden stairs (with left chair) leads to a landing and a desk area, where a nice old gentleman gave us some information (including closing time). :D We walked from room to room (former apartments) laughing or smiling as we noted things from our respective childhoods. Not wanting to keep the gentleman from leaving on time, we made our way to the door. Since he wanted to visit a bit, we learned a few more things about the building, the vendors and the history of Freeport. This would be a perfect rainy day activity!

I believe the building was, at one time, a school or college. The rooms are marked for the various classes. I'm not sure if the students boarded there but there are remnants from the past that suggest they did - even a copper bath tub. There are 3 floors of antiques - mostly from ordinary people like me. What I enjoy about this place is that's it's like going back in time! So many things to remind me of what was. . .

A friend and I went to Freeport to check out the antique, gift and thrift stores. There are about 7-8 of them all within walking distance downtown. Luecke's is the largest. The stairs are steep but doable for anyone in reasonable shape. And there's that stair lift for those who aren't. On the second floor (apparently there is no first floor) I would say there are about 25 rooms full of interesting things. Most of it is fairly reasonably priced. The third floor was closed the day we were there due to a leaky roof. All in all, for people who like to check out "stuff," it's certainly worth looking at.

Hi .They now have one of those electric chairs to take you up if you can't do the stairs. Just wanted folks to b aware of this. It is a Very big place with tons to offer. The staff is always so sweet and friendly.

It is an old antique store. You need to go up to the second and third floor so if you can't do stairs you are out of luck. It is an old apartment building that you go room to room to room to room. If you can't find it here you can't find it anywhere. Mostly small stuff. Collection items. No real furniture. Some art. I think it has a large flee market feel. Prices are very good. There are some vendors that have some nice items. If you are looking for high quality antiques you might find it but you will have to really look. If you are looking for a piece for a collection you will find it if you look hard enough. Stop by. If it is not your cup of tea you can turn around and leave but if it is what you like you will be there for a good hour.
