There is a Mexican restaurant that's just north of the canal and the downtown. It's in the tall buildings just to the west of the post office. The post office is a block west of Pollyanna Brewing Company. You can see the small bridges that cross over the canal as you're driving from the Main Street northward towards Pollyanna. The food is okay but it's a little overpriced and the service isn't so great. You should order your bill when they bring the food otherwise you will wait for an eternity to get your bill so you can leave. The two or three times I've been there the service for even getting drink refills was also delayed. other than that the only place that I know anything about in the downtown for food is a place called The Vault. It has good ratings but I think it's also heavily overpriced. I'm not real sure what kind of food you're looking for but I can tell you that in the downtown portion of Lockport along their Old Main Street there are a few nice restaurants. Italian & also Embers tap house. It had food & always busy & you can see thru their large street windows. Never have I seen it empty. It's along State Street (route #171), and cross street is 10th Street. Hope that helps. If you want a seafood , steak,w/ sushi buffet for about $17/person you could also go to Royal Buffet, 1400 W. 75th in Downers Grove. It is in shopping strip on northwest corner of 75th & Lemont Rd. About 8 minutes +/- north of Pollyanna. I've been there 3 times over years....back on my birthday in January and just 2 nights ago. Food Always good,fresh,hot. And very unique dishes - some I had never had even with all of my travels overseas and here in US. I've been to many Oriental buffets over many years and this one & one just northwest of downtown Philadelphia & other near Venice, Florida are best I've seen/eaten. Go hungry..you will get a great filling.
