This is a beautiful spot in central Illinois. The lake offers swimming and boating and a host of other outdoor activities. Highly recommend a visit to this lovely lake.

I have taken 3 trips to the Lake Lou Yaeger hiking trails. I have hiked with age 2 to age 65. The trails are so easy to follow that I wasn't at all concerned about getting separated. Because they are also used for bikes, they are windy and can be challenging at times, but not dangerous with stones or steep hills. There is a nice swing located along one trail while another has exercise equipment. Several places to enter or end, two of which feature a place to air up tires. Nice views of the lake, too.

a very pretty,and relaxing lake. It is in a very rural area so it is very quiet and hardly busy. this is a great place for a relaxing day for anyone.

In addition to lake for boating and swimming, nice beach area with air conditioned building available to rent, snack bar at beach area and inflatables to jump and dive off of for an additional charge, plus horse trails with truck and trailer parking area, natural areas to hike with a marked trail and an additional rental venue perfection for parties and wedding receptions, etc.

A delightful and clean delight for the whole family. Very nice swimming area with a lifeguard and concession stand. The lake crew does a great job of keeping it clean but slobs visitors keep them busy. Boat rentals are also available

We spent a comfortable though very warm week at the Bicentennial Memorial Campground. We hosted a variety of sleep over and day visits from friends and family. The campground has a new manager (Wesley) very eager to provide a quality experience. We originally planned to arrive late Sunday but were tired from watching our grandson pitch in an all-star baseball game and decided to travel early Monday. Sunday night we received a call from Wesley wanting to know if we were safe. We were blown away by this display of customer service which continued throughout the week. Docking for our pontoon boat was included in the $20 per night ($130 weekly). Fishing was spotty. (Catfish,;) We purchased a family annual pass for the pontoon boat and to the lake front beaçh intending to return throughout the summer.

The boys and I went here last summer to watch the Perseids meteor shower. It's nice and well taken care of, and quiet. The caretaker was very friendly and besides it being a bit of an off year for the meteors it was a blast.

Visited the lake for a triathlon. Great water and amenities. I'd love to return for other activities on the lake.

We visited Lake Lou Yeager the weekend before 4th of July and found it be beautiful. It was clean with many activities and the perfect place for a family visit. Would definitely go again.

I'm wanting to take my boat out around 8 pm... Do I just pay the one day fee or so I have to pay for two days since I will only be on the lake until daylight??

You can pay the 1 day pass at Marina 1. I am assuming you are fishing, but please note per City Ordinance there are quiet hours. For more information contact the Lake at 217-324-5253
