Dropped in on Saturday after the footy needless to say i was down in the dumps :) never been in before as not lived in the area long but what a warm welcome fire was burning lovely and atmosphere was good and all were friendly staff well one bar man was very good made me feel at home and welcome even tho he was rushed off his feet still took the time to talk to me and provide me with his knowledge of the ales all together a great experience only negative if any was the landlord seemed very lazy and rude to his customers :( but don't let that put you off the staff/bar man made it for me .

We visited on a sunny week day lunch time we sat in the beer garden where we found a shady spot. There was a wide selection of drinks and we had a very friendly welcome. We felt peckish so chose the ploughman's lunch for 2 from the garden menu. It was amazing value and freshly prepared.

Have become a bit of a regular to this pub over the past year or so. Popping in on a Saturday for a few pints sampling the different ales they have on offer.
Have recently started to offer cooked food so decided to try the Queens Tower burger which was very nice. Have also recently tried the Sunday lunch which is also good value for money, I tried all three meats which had plenty vegetables to accompany it.
The landlord and landlady have always been very friendly and always thank you for your custom, and also the bar staff are really friendly too.
If you are in need of a pint and either a cob or some hot food I would definitely recommend to pop in.

After somewhere to eat and decided to try here. Had the most amazing salad cobs - larger than any other I have seen for sale - the ham was lovely, tasty and thick. The salad all fresh - could have plated it up and sold as a meal! Nothing too much trouble for the couple in charge. Shall certainly be calling again!

I visited this pub on Wednesday 26 August around 5pm for the first time in around three years. I had arranged to meet my friend from work for a catch up being as we had not seen each other since February!
Whilst l was waiting both the Landlord and Landlady started talking to me and explained they only took over the pub in November 2019. Food was not yet available but going to be launched shortly. They were both constantly cleaning the pub and tables and l felt totally safe inside the pub.
My friend and l sat outside in the lovely beer garden due to it being a warm summers evening. On a couple of occasions the Landlord and Landlady had a coffee break in the beer garden and struck up a friendly conversation with us.
I am looking forward to having a Vegetarian Sunday lunch in the near future and will definitely be visiting this friendly pub again!
I found this pub to be slightly more pricier than other pubs in the area but l am prepared to pay a bit more for a friendly and welcoming pub which is only a 15 minute walk from my house.

Popped in on a Sunday and booked a table for 1pm I visited with my father and we had a Sunday roast beef & pork were the choices available. Beautifully cooked meat, the vegetables were superb and the yorkies were definitely home made. The roast potatoes were the best I've ever tasted. Thankyou for the good food, friendly service and welcoming atmosphere to your wonderful pub. I will be returning 👍

I've been a regular in queens for 8years but unfortunately hardly go anymore new landlords not interested in selling beer only food great pub going downhill fast

Geoff and Carol were very welcoming on our visit to The Queens Head. The BFG was lovely and the freshly carved ham cobs are the best in Wordsley. We look forward to our Sunday lunch later this week.

This is by far the best pub in Wordsley. Choice of 9 hand pulled ales and 1 traditional cider, which are all very well kept. Never had a bad pint! Child and dog friendly. All staff and landlords are very friendly and welcoming. Meals are amazing and the Sunday roast is extremely good. Very reasonably priced too. Three TV's showing sports and nice background music. Well worth a visit and we will continue to use this little gem of a pub.

Excellent home cooked Sunday lunch.
Very friendly ladies serving
Treats for Leo my Labrador
Plenty of choice for the discerning beer drinker
I had Hobgoblin Gold which was well kept
On my last visit I had Kelham Island Easy Rider from Sheffield
Perhaps best value Sunday lunch in the area.
My companions were pleased with their roast pork.
In an area of considerable competition it stands out for service and value.

They used to have set menu's with lovely food. I didn't eat in here on my previous visit, so not certain if food still on as it was rather quiet inside. Just give the pub a call before you go & find out.
