Happened upon Tower Park after enjoying the scenic views of Grandview Drive. There was a big band playing dance tunes in the courtyard with couples dancing. The tower was closed already but we hope to return another day to go up in it and see the view. The park is very near the quaint downtown area of Peoria Heights, so after the music, we strolled several blocks enjoying the outdoor music at many of the local restaurants. The flowers in and around the park were gorgeous and so fragrant!

Have never been before and stopped through on a road trip to WI. The tower was actually closed on the day we were there but still enjoyed the quaint and beautiful downtown! Lunch at the Hearth was amazing and loved all of the little shops, bookstore and boutiques.

Tower Park in Peoria Heights is a nice place to spend some time, either visiting the top of Water Tower and enjoying some great scenic views, or sit around the fountain, or watch some live performances on the stage of a large gazebo. Or just walk around with kids - there's a nice area with playgrounds there. A special Gold Star Memorial is located in Tower Park, as well as the most memorable Bronze Bust of Abraham Lincoln.
The park is well maintained, landscaping is pretty, there are many benches in the park, and plenty of shade from large trees. Currently, you can visit the park, but for visitors Water Tower isn't open yet.

Whether you are a resident of the Peoria area or a visitor, the view from the tower is something you have to see! The Illinois River Valley is gorgeous all year round, but especially pretty in the fall with the changing colors. You see beautiful Grandview Drive with its many mansions overlooking the widest part of the Illinois River. In the summer you might catch a glimpse of a sailboat regatta. After your tower visit, have a picnic on Grandview Drive, proclaimed by Teddy Roosevelt a "World's Most Beautiful Drive". There is a small fee for the elevator up to the top of the tower.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. We were the only ones on the tower. Great view from all points. Well worth a visit. Price of admission is 2 bucks. In scared of heights and didn't like the elevator ride up. I wanted to take the stairs.

The views are amazing! There are even three levels, so rain or sun won't bother you if the weather is too much. A can't miss for visitors for sure, and even locals. Go go go go! Just check the hours first.

Great view on a clear day. I went with my family to the top of the tower and everyone, both kids and adults, enjoyed it. I would recommend making the trip.

A neat, relatively tall tower in the park. Unfortunately, it was closed. There is an elevator going up it.

This is a quick and inexpensive trip. Tower Park has many fun events with bands and face painting. The tower has a glass elevator that takes you to two levels of observation decks. Great views all around.
