Hello @Companion559380, We are sorry you had a less than perfect experience at our shop and we always appreciate the feedback. It is how our company improves and has survived these last 100 years! In response to some of your comments, we apologize if our clerk seemed inattentive the day you visited. It is possible she was staffing the store alone that day and was taking care of a customer on the phone. We sometimes staff very lightly during the slow time after the holidays however we should always let you know that we will be back with you in a moment and if our staff did not do that we are sorry and will use your feedback in our next training about customer service. As to the samples, our samples are always cut and placed out fresh several times during the day. They are individually cupped as well so that you only touch the sample you wish to eat. Again, we do appreciate the feedback as we always strive to serve our customers and provide them with the highest quality chocolates and service you can find.
