Walking around downtown is pleasant and peaceful in particular along the river. Interesting to learn a little about the history of St. Charles, especially the statue of a Native American.

This is a great town situated along the Fox River. Sad to return to see less shops open post-pandemic, but hopefully it will rebound with time. Great trails for biking or walking.

Had some time to kill. Went in for lunch at La Mesa Pleasantly surprised ! It was amazing . Guacamole it was perfect! Steak taco was amazing! And mango margarita was to die for! Will be back for sure! If your in downtown st charles. It’s worth the time . You won’t be disappointed! It’s a 10 for sure!!

We have been in St Charles twice in the past month (Scarecrow fest and today) both time really enjoyed the little down feel. Very warm and friendly people and nice for a stroll. Kids enjoy Lincoln Park.

Today was a beautiful February day with crisp air and a bright blue sky. We decided to drive up to St Charles just to walk around and enjoy the architecture. It has a nice, walkable downtown area right next to the river with lots of unique architecture. We peeked inside the lobby of the Baker Hotel. The incredible craftsmanship was a highlight, both inside and out. There is no shortage of places to eat and drink. The river path is bike friendly and if you ride a mile or so to the south; you’ll find Geneva which I guarantee you’ll love just as much!

I love to walk along the river, so relaxing. It is especially nice in the summer. Very dog friendly.

The downtown district by the river was so cool. The low head dam creates a beautiful river view that cuts through downtown. Nice big side walks and viewing points. Close to restaurants and all kinds of businesses
