Love it there !! Very friendly staff! Water hook up and electric tent camping there's also teepee camping as well.

Forrest Glen Preserve has a very nice camp ground for you campers our there. It has fishing, many areas for a picnic and air conditioned buildings with indoor kitchens and bathrooms for daily rental for those big family gatherings. Beautiful park we frequently many times a year.

Great place for family get togethers. Dog walking fresh air. Fishing wildlife. Love it. You can go hiking or boating. No swimming tho.

When you live nearby, you often dismiss the local attractions. That would be a mistake in this case. The park has the ubiquitous camping, etc, but it also has some great hiking trails in the woods, an observation tower, and frontage along the Vermilion River! What's not to like? Visit the park and experience the beauty of the forest and the river at all seasons of the year. This visit, we took the walk down to the river. It has been dry, so the river was very low, and we could go out on a sandbar to explore. Some folks obviously peel out over the steep river bank to get down to the sandbar, but if you walk a bit further along the bank, you'll come to some easier access points that are recommended not only to save getting you muddy or sore, but also to reduce bank erosion. The hike down to the river is wooded, and passes right by the observation tower. Go on up there and take a look around if you're so inclined!
