My wife & I were interested in learning about Billy Graham so we visited the Billy Graham museum. We were amazed at the layout, taking you through the history of how religion came into our country and how Evangelism developed. The videos were interesting, but I was hoping to see more video from Billy Graham on his Crusades or in his interviews. The information both on the walls & in videos consumed three hours of our time but it was well worth the valuable knowledge. I took a few pics of my favorites.

To this day, some people aren't aware that the world-famous evangelist Billy Graham began his ministry as a student at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. The Billy Graham Center Museum, opened in 1980, is designed to help visitors "extend their understanding of the good news about Jesus" and contains exhibits about the history of Christian evangelism in the United States and the ministry of Billy Graham. Located at 500 College Avenue on the Wheaton College campus, is is open from 10 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday. It also is the primary location for many of the college's Bible and theology classes. It is a family-oriented museum with rare artifacts and interactive displays that begin with the early history of Christian evangelism and its influence on American society and climax with a powerful walk-through presentation of the Gospel message. The museum, which consists of 20,000 square feet of permanent and temporary exhibit space, starts with the Rotunda of Witnesses, which houses nine stunning tapestries depicting great witnesses for the Gospel, and proceeds to the History of Evangelism in America, then the Cross of the Millennium, the Life and Ministry of Billy Graham and Walk through the Gospel. Another interesting exhibit is the Life of George Beverly Shea, the beloved singer at Graham's crusades around the world.

The museum is very well put together. It's well organized, clean, and never crowded. They regularly have art on exhibit too.

Plan on spending some time to walk through this self-guided museum. For those of us who have been impacted by Billy Graham's ministry, you will find the history of his life an interesting one. There are also moments to quietly reflect on God, in this reverent setting.

I was very happy we were able to visit the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. It showed the life of the evangelist and his quotations.

Finally visited during a weekday afternoon, so it was not very crowded. Great balance of American & Christian history, followed by a review of Dr. Graham's life and ministry. Worth a second visit for sure. Also randomly encountered Ed Stetzer giving a tour and overheard some fun facts (look up the history of Guiness Beer). GO!

Fuimos a última hora y no pudimos ver el jardín, ni la réplica de la casa de donde creció Graham. Pero el recorrido de la vida de Billy Graham nos gusto tanto como para querer regresar y verlo todo. Es impresionante ver todos los detalles q recolectaron de su vida y la forma tan excelente como lo han plasmado. El gift shop tmb tiene cosas hermosas!! Hay un café al que tmp pudimos ir. Definitivamente tenemos que regresar.

I grew up in Wheaton, so when that museum came to town I was excited! The place has an area where you go out on the ledge and the background is sky blue, and wow, it sure looks like you are in the heavens!

That is a little tough to answer. It depends on who is in your group, their level of interest, the amount of time that you would like to spend in contemplation and/or prayer, and other factors. I would say that if you a lot two hours you will be able to enjoy the museum at A leisurely pace. You could probably see everything within an hour if you do not wish to spend as much time at individual exhibits. And you can always go into Wheaton and enjoy a nice late lunch!
