We were here for the Creole Christmas performance. This is an absolutely wonderful venue for plays and performances. Not a bad seat in the house! We had a great time and will most assuredly be back!

Saw Johnny Mathis here in October with family. Nice venue and the seats we had were wonderful! The area around outside is also nice.

I had friends in town. And as luck would have it we were able to take a tour. This venue is a marvel; perfect acoustics, construction materials and the attention and history behind the decor.
We wouldn’t have the concert center if it wasn’t for Michael Feinstein where part of the Palladium houses his Songbook collection. My friends were impressed with the collection, the history on how the songbook collection started, and the fact that the music continues to be updated.
The tour is free, but you do need to make reservations.

This should be a wonderful, live, energetic shoebox hall on par with Boston and Vienna but they leave the curtains exposed during symphonic concerts shutting down all the reverberance. No envelopment, no liveness. They spent a lot on the design and aren't using it.
One star just to call attention to it. Call first to see if the curtains will be retracted if attending classical music.

We got tickets to see a concert here. We got there a little early since we were traveling & it was really cold outside! There weren't a lot of places to sit in the lobby, but we found a bench in one of the side areas.
The seating inside the concert hall was typical for a venue like this.
The ushers were trying to enforce the mask policy, but some people refused to comply.
The sound quality was good.

I’ve been here 3 times for symphonies and a concert. Carmel is decent little town with a few nice places to eat in the area. Tye performing arts theatre 🎭 is built very nicely.
There are a few things that could make this place better...More beer and wine stands (they generally have two), and more people to help with valeting cars.

The facility is beautiful and no where better to hear an intimate concert. That said.....drinks are priced outrageously high. I would also be nice if restrooms were on every floor.

We took the family for the Festival of Carols. Truly wonderful musical experience that got us in the mood for the true meaning of the Christmas holiday. Venue is amazing with fabulous acoustics. We were lucky enough to score the 'O' Box which was an incredible seat, not having to look over others heads and plenty of room to move around. Highly recommend any event at the Palladium!

We saw the Dave Koz Christmas show and as part of ticket price we received a free download of his Christmas album. This was NOTHING like that. In my opinion, either the much-lauded acoustics are overrated, or someone incompetent was running the sound board. Beginning with the opening announcement, the vocals were garbled or overwhelmed, the volume was too loud, and the drums and bass were too dominant. Result was that we left after half an hour. We then ENJOYED the live caroling and good cheer surrounding the skating rink just outside the Palladium as the snow fell. We've attended a dozen or more performances, several of them jazz performances, and we've had seats in every part of the house. This isn't the first time this excellent venue has delivered disappointing results.

In Old Town Carmel, there are a handful of truly charming B & Bs. You might want to check out Old Towne Carmel Bed & Breakfast. There are reviews on TripAdvisor, and I think you'd have to call to make a reservation. Your other option is Airbnb. Depending on your dates, you may find something close to the Palladium that's really unique.

There is usually valet parking at the box office (west) entrance. The cost is $15. From there it is a short walk through the lobby to a low incline ramp leading to the main floor. We have used it twice since the Christmas holidays, and although I don’t remember exactly how close to showtime we arrived, it was much closer than an hour. In the event the valet service is not operating, the west entrance would likely still be open. Just turn into the semi-circular drive, drop your husband off at the door, and then drive to the parking garage located immediately south of the Center for the Performing Arts where there is no charge for parking.

Our personal favorite going to the CFPA is Divvy located just a short walking (1 block) distance east in the City Center. The menu is fun to experience consisting of small plate sharables that are fresh, interesting and delicious. It has a full bar with ample parking available both curbside and in the CC garage.
A second good choice is Matt the Miller’s, also located in the City Center. It has a pub style feel to it and a wide variety of items to
choose from on its menu.
These are the best of the nearby (within easy walking distance) restaurants that we have tried. There are several restaurants about a half mile away on Main Street that are very good but parking is much more difficult to come by.
Finally addressing your oyster bar nearest. I am not an oyster guy, but probably the nearest restaurant where oysters are available would be Ocean Prime located at Keystone a the Crossing. It is a very popular, upscale seafood place located a 10 minute drive south of the CFPA.
