The bike and walking path was nice, but the view of the river was quite muddy. Local restrooms were available.

You could spend days walking or bicycling on the trails in Fort Wayne! We particularly enjoyed the trails along the riverfront in the downtown area, which include the historic Fort, the Promenade Park, the Wells St bridge, Headwaters Park, and much more. One downside was that there is a massive construction project going on right now, blocking the riverside trail near The Landing.

The parks and trails are amazing. Nice riverside walks. Some mud due to rain and there are older and some uneven walkways. Check out the MLK Jr. Bridge too. This is a must see and walk, both ways.

I have had the opportunity to participate in multiple 5k and 10k races that utilize the Fort Wayne Trails system. It is excellent and continues to expand.

I stopped at the Historic Fort Wayne while passing through on a road trip. Once I left the Fort, I walked over the bridge over St. Marys River and into Headwaters Park, which this Fort Wayne Trails Tripadvisor Page seems to cover. The park is very nice with walkways winding through flowers, statues, monuments and fountains. There was a decent amount of both foot and bike traffic in the area. It was a nice evening walk.

There are so really cool trails all near the River, to bridges, in and out of nature. They are some unique status and historical sites along the way.

We parked the car to get pictures alongside a river, and the next thing we knew we had walked several miles of trails through parks, by the Old Fort, and even to Science Central. There were interesting historical markers and statues in one of the parks, and beautiful views of the trees and rivers.

This trail system will surprise and delight you! There are so many gorgeous areas to see. With over 110 miles of trails in Allen County and adding more everyday it's hard to say which trails are my favorite!
