This is a joke. Very expensive for little float on an uninteresting river. Too late for a refund. Save your money and take a walk!
ALSO - self parking machine by entering your plate #. Come back to an expensive ticket notice. Send in receipt and get a response of ok. Shame on the owners of parking lot—-tricks for us consumers. NEVER AGAIN.

We have used FWOutfittersa few times for kayak rental to voyage the downtown waterways. Very professionally run and efficient. They'll give you lots of info if you want it, and pertinent info if you want the summary. The allotted times are ample to enjoy a brief outing or make a day of it.

Outfitters Depot was wonderful in setting us up for kayaking. It’s recommended that you make reservations, because they can be very busy. They have a neat store, where you register, to buy outdoor clothing. Registration was easy and they were very helpful in getting you registered and ready for kayaking. Be sure to ask, if needed, for a waterproof bag to put your personal things in which is only $3 extra. They have life jackets for you down at the dock. There are two ways to go, downtown where you can stop at the deck for lunch or dinner or just drinks. The opposite way is more nature with trees and bridges. The Outfitters do a great job and they all are very nice and helpful. I would give more than a five star if I could.

Deplorable customer service, absolutely deplorable. This place cancelled our kayak reservation less than a hour from when the reservation was booked. They cited a reason that is nowhere to be found on their website and their confirmation materials. The truth is they had no reservations other than ours, and they simply wanted to cancel us. As of this writing, it is a beautiful day outside, perfect for kayaking. This kayak experience was a special birthday gift for my girlfriend and something we'd been planning for days. When I explained this, the representative essentially shrugged her shoulders and was nonplussed. She offered nothing to make up for this. Not even an apology. Take your business elsewhere. This company simply does not care about their customers. Which seems to be a hallmark of the Midwest.

Renting was a breeze and personal attention was excellent. Rented a 2 person kayak and this is a great way to spend a couple of relaxing yet active hours on the rivers.

We will definitely be back! What a beautiful area of Fort Wayne. We did the downtown experience. Lots of beautiful parks and bridges. Calm waters made a for an relaxing paddle. Be sure to stop at The Deck for snacks and refreshments! Can’t wait to do it again!

The kayak trip down the river was fabulous. The trip was advertised as having a guide with us. There was no guide. When getting into and out of my kayak, I definitely could have used some help, especially when getting out. I was embarrassed as I struggled to get out and made a joke to the employees standing there. I asked if they were just seeing how long it takes people to get out. They laughed, agreed with me, but still offered no help. When a friend saw that the emoyees were just going to stand there and do nothing, she stepped up to give me assistance getting out of my kayak.

Found this place in search for kayaking in my area. It was great to explore the open river! It rained they day we went, but I want to come back and explore the other side of the river next time. We had an awesome time out!

First time to Kayak ever for both me and my Grandson as a Father's Day celebration.
we both loved it! Grandpa sure got work out for his upper body, arms and shoulders.
rented for the two hour segment on a tandem Kayak. the launch system is what makes
it so safe for getting and out at the end. We decided to go up stream of the Saint Mary's river. Counted SEVEN bridges up steam and seven back. My grandson had
suggested that I take over after the very first Iron bridge. Eventually I had to have him
assist several times when we were in the grips of cross winds as the river wines back and forth. over all it was a perfect day weather wise as well, sunny breezy in the mid 80's. Glad we headed the advice to use sun screen before boarding, and oh yes I
highly recommend to put your cell phone in a good ZIP LOCK BAG, should you decide
you want to use it again some time after you are done, rather than just the cell phone is DONE ??? I wish this advice is of help to future kayakers or kayaker want to bees?
