It’s a small collection but a very nice break from the convention we attended. Even if you take your time 90 minutes would be plenty of time. Very clean and peaceful. Friendly staff.

My boyfriend and I visited specifically to see the holiday train display. Even as adults we enjoyed the display and definitely think kids would enjoy it as well. We didn’t explore much more of the museum as we were in a bit of a time crunch but what we did see was very educational.

This museum showcases a lot of native art that helps teach history as you go along. There are many beautiful pieces here. Its smaller in size but is still a great time. They had a temporary holiday train exhibit that was mind blowing!

Went to a wedding at the Museum and it was very elegant. It was a little warm so they could use some air circulation but overall very classy atmosphere... highly recommend it!

I loved seeing this museum. It can easily be seen in less than three hours. There are four separate exhibit areas. American art of the west, Native American art and artifacts, a space for temporary or seasonal exhibits, and an interactive children's area on the lower level with access to the terrace and canal.
We visited during in late October, so the temporary exhibit was devoted to Día de Muertos ofrenda traditions. My Spanish speaking friends appreciate the bilingual signs.
The weavings were my favorite part of the museum. I also liked the access to the canal. We were able to step outside and enjoy a beautiful day for a while as we walked the canal. Reentry is easy and we also had free parking in the garage below the park next door. Bring your parking stub to receive a free parking code at the museum desk.
All of the staff were friendly and well-informed.

This is a terrific museum that isn’t crowded. It is truly a hidden gem. The collection is carefully curated and wonderfully presented.

Absolutely incredible museum of Art! They have traveling/revolving exhibits that are just out of this world! Primarily western art, but there's SO MUCH MORE! The western art by the way is simply one of a kind! You'll need a couple hours, and it is handicap accessible! Go and enjoy-you'll be glad you did!

I was pleasantly surprised by this museum. I wasn’t expecting the vast amount of beautiful artworks and artifacts created by Native Americans. I’ve been to other Native American art museums and history museums around the country, but this one has them all beat. Do not miss this on your visit to Indy.

We did this on a spur of the moment after getting done at The Speedway and were not disappointed. The museum have a large amount of Native America paintings and artifacts. The music that plays in the background is so serene and peaceful you can loose tract of time.

The Jingle Rails exhibit typically opens about a week before Thanksgiving and runs through mid-January.

Is there a place in the museum for us to eat a packed lunch? We're on a tight budget and the Cafe is too pricey for us. We've always packed lunches for the Children's museum, but have never been to Eiteljorg. Thanks in advance!!

I would probably try just sitting on the coaches outside of the cafe. I agree about the prices. This is disappointing.
