IRT is now requiring proof of vaccination or negative test- even for children ages 4-11. What a shame that masks aren’t enough. Their play ‘A Christmas Carol’has always been such a blessing to our family. They are offering performances for vaccinated folks only. Perhaps they could offer some for the unvaccinated as well.

Took 12-yo granddaughter to see Christmas Carol. We sat close to stage and could see very well. She was totally enthralled with acting, singing and choreography. Planning to return in Feb to see The Watsons.

Surprised my husband on his birthday and took him to this theatre, first time for both of us, not only was it a surprise for him, but for me as well. We were very impressed, nice building, beautiful in side, great show.

Architecturally a main theatre, a wonderful venue downtown. The staff does a great job. They have a wide range of drama and the actors do first rate performances.

The IRT has great shows and fantastic actors. Most shows I really enjoy the storyline, and even an occasional plot that may not suit my preference, still is really great to watch the amazing acting. As a result I always enjoy the shows, especially the ones with more comedy in them. The IRT is also in a great location (downtown) so you have a wide choice of places to eat before the show, and other nightlife places to go after the show.

As we travel, we like to take in local shows whenever possible. The Indiana Theatre was restored and the auditorium remodeled in 1980 to accommodate the needs of the Indiana Repertory Theatre. We were fortunate to catch "You can't take it with you" on our evening in town. The production was wonderful, as the talent and stage set were terrific. We got there early to experience the building. The lobby is 21/2 stories done in Spanish Baroque - amazing! They had a happy hour upstairs for early arrivals offering free cocktails and a small plate offering. There even was a chat session in front of the stage with one of the performers an hour before the show! Seating is comfortable, viewing and acoustics are good, and they even have valet parking. This was a great experience. We'd go again but it's a drive from New Jersey!

We have seen “You Can’t Take It With You*” and “Waves of Grain”. Wonderfully talented people - Tim Grimm and his wife are both excellent - in different plays and roles. *See the IRT credits for the picture credits for the set. Both plays were spectacular!

We have lived in many parts of the country and gone to many, many theaters but the IRT beats most of them! What a great piece of architecture. The theater was so impressive. We saw A Christmas Carol and even though we've seen many, many versions of the play, this was by far the BEST version. The staff volunteers were so nice and helpful. The seats were comfortable and the play was one of the BEST we've seen.
