Learned A Lot About Bees

This was a surprising little last minute venture I decided to try. There are different tours and activities you can do so research a little before you get there. It was learning experience about bees and seeing the how the bees make the honey was interesting. The harvesting of the honey and seeing the different products that come from honey was informative and amazing. The honey choices in the gift shop were abundant. Nothing like tasting fresh honey right from the hive. They even have bee keeper outfits for you to wear if you want. I'm glad I did this and I'm allergic to bees but I wasn't afraid.

Sure to BEE a good time.

I found a swarm of honey bees on a piece of equipment at work and called these people. They were happy to drive to Indianapolis and rescue these bees. The Bee Keeper, Tony, invited me and my family out to the farm for a tour. I am glad we took him up on it. When we first arrived, Tony took us out to some of the hives where we were able to experience the bees in action. Tony was very informative and he allowed everyone to hold parts of the hive and to sample the honey straight from the source. After we toured the hives, we took a tour of the honey barn and production area, where the honey, wax, and candles were made. There is a gift shop full of different honey and honey/wax related items (you have to try the honey lemonade). You also have an opportunity to make your own candle or bottle your own honey.

Sweet Experience

We took our three young grandsons to Hunters for a tour. What an interesting and informative visit! The boys learned everything there is to know about honey bees, products made by bees, and their environmental importance- thanks to our amazing tour guide, Lilly. She was so wonderful with our grandsons, who got to bottle their own honey and make a beeswax candle. 5 stars! Well worth the trip.

How Sweet It is!!

Running errands one Saturday, my Mother and I stopped at Hunters Honey Farm. What a treat...in more ways than one. We were amazed at the variety of honey flavors and products available. The staff spent nearly an hour with us explaining the process from start to finish. We were able to browse and sample the different honeys to our hearts content. We enjoyed the active hive inside the Gift Shop watching the busy bees doing their thing. We finished with an ice cream cup while sitting by the lake complete with fountain on a beautiful spring day. Will visit this place again...and again...and again...

All local honey from local bee keepers that take a whole lot of pride in what they do.Very nice friendly people.Very knowledgeable on the bees and wax and honey.Honey can be used for so many different remedies .This is a place we all should really visit and learn more about.Without bee’s there would be no food no flowers.You can buy honey here in various sizes g

The Only Place We Get Our Honey From

This is the ONLY place my family will purchase their honey and honey products from. We like to support local businesses and know that their product is pure and handled responsibly. We also go to this location to have family pictures taken as there are several beautiful areas on this farm.

Very educational for both kids & adults

Took our 7-year old granddaughter for a tour. Mr. Hunter made sure he found the queen bee in an outside hive so we could see her. He is 4th generation owner & sure knows his bees. The tour of the inside "barn" is very educational and we all got to make a beeswax candle & bottle our own honey which was part of the cost of our tour. The road off S.R.67 is nicely paved but a bit curvy. Well worth the trip to one of Morgan County's oldest businesses. One honey won a first place at the State Fair. Nice gift shop. Call ahead to be sure the tour is available.

Had a great tour with the owner. Very personable and interesting. New appreciation for honey! And amazement at the way God created honey bees. They are a marvel to say the least. Neat place. So glad we stopped in.

Theirs gold in them their hills

This hidden gem is a trip well worth taking. When you get there you will understand why the have all those awards given to them through various organizations. Off of the beaten path and rightfully so. They are very customer service oriented and will help you with all your questions and needs. They have so many different types of honey and honey butter to offer it makes it hard to choose just one. The active bee hive inside is amazing. I’m glad that they are selling their honey in limited editions at Rural King and Fresh Thyme but I prefer to go straight to the source when I can.
