This place has been beautifully restore and renovated. This is the perfect place for an concert. Great sound quality. Great sight lines. They host a variety of shows at reasonable prices, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommened the Mitchell Opera House to all reading this review.

The Mitchell opera house is a beautiful little gem in the middle of town. They most recently have been booking regional “B” acts but that’s a huge step forward from nothing! The remodeled opera house is beautifully restored, its worth catching a show here!

Went here for Linda Smith concert, with friends. She's excellent entertainer, good singer. Good number of people attended, and good seating options. This is a great example of how little towns are saving the old historic buildings. Although the sound was a bit too loud, the entertainment was excellent. I'm wondering if they had sound/volume too high, expecting a packed house? It was only about 75% (?) full. OR perhaps, some sound proofing of windows would help. Windows had shutters over them. Maybe thick draperies or solid carpeted panels would 'help' the sound issue.

This is a jewel in the wilderness. Excellent sound system and a great variety of shows at a reasonable price. If you're in the area check it out for great entertainment.

We recently visited the Mitchell Opera House which was built in 1906. He has been restored beautifully with original floors with beautiful woodwork, plush curtain and comfortable seating; even a balcony. You can tell that much effort was put in bringing back the original look of this fine building. Just another addition to things to see in Mitchell, IN along with the Gus Grissom childhood home and Spring Mill State Park/Inn. Entertainment is available.
