Very nice trail with lots of trees and nature. Located adjecent to the Horizon Events Center where I attended the Iowa Dog Jog Event on 9/18/22. I really liked the view along the trail but I was disappointed with all the bikers and how fast they were riding plus didn't bother to announce they were coming up on me. There were over 100 participants plus dogs in this 5k walk/run so maybe next time the trail could be closed for the private event. Very clean trail system as well as the playground too.

You can get to just about anywhere in the DSM area via the trail. It's paved, in pretty good condition.

Nice trail for walking or bikers. Small play area for kids near the restrooms. Water, wildflowers and wildlife can be seen and enjoyed.

nice refreshing trail to walk in. the only issues is with the bugs and the overgrown bushes.

This trail has it all. Wide paved bike and walking path. Scenery though treed areas and sunny paths. Seating when needed, and stops with restrooms. Several areas were recently modified to make them safer for the faster moving bikers and runners.

this was our last in Des Moines, the environment and surroundings were very clean and are neatly maintained. you can definitely enjoy your time. their are few small eateries as well. overall its a very good place to walk or jog for some time and enjoy the nature's beauty

For better (my opinion) or worse, this trail offers a winding biking adventure through the woods and alongside a stream. While located in the middle of the suburbs, you feel like your in the deep woods (especially due to the need to focus on your next turn). It's a flat land trail with the interest being the winding nature. Alert: better experience this while you can! The city is beginning to relocate and straighten parts of the trail to make it safer (and likely less interesting) - already closed a western section. Get there now to enjoy.

I seem to end up walking or jogging on this trail whenever I'm in town and have a bit of free time. Nice and quiet, with lots of wildlife. A piece of "state park" in the middle of west Des Moines.

We frequently ride the Clive Greenbelt Trail and stop for a quick meal along the way. It connects to the Walnut Creek Trail in West Des Moines which in turn connects to the trail network in Des Moines. The trails are well maintained with excellent signage. There are many small eating places along the way.

No. The Greenbelt trail is part of the City of Clive Parks department. It is not a business
