I have been going to Allen’s APPLE Orchard four close to 20 years. Every time I go it’s so satisfying to be able to buy a variety of apples but also to pick my own apples. Two years ago several sisters came from different states and we were like a little girls at the orchard picking apples and remembering what it was like to go to Grandpa’s farm, Where we could go and pick apples for him but he would say, “now you girls, don’t pick these trees! They’re not ready yet! ” “We were giggling and having fun Seeing who could get your apples the quickest (without bruising them ,of course). It was a perfect fall day and as always the staff was very helpful and kind to assist as needed. I recently learned that you can pick to meet us at Allen’s Orchard and other things as well on the Internet. I’m going to be checking that out next year. Why not go to Allen’s orchard when it’s just down the road from the Marion Square, to get wonderful quality produce and a great experience at the same time❣️ Vickie M.

Only a 20 minute drive out of Cedar Rapids -- this is a fun place to come and pick (and taste) some heirloom apples. More than 35 varieties spread over 60 rows of apple trees.

This place has the best donuts ever. We make the drive out just for them. As far as the orchard itself, it’s a nice little apple orchard. I’ve been to larger, nicer ones but it’s cute and small and caters to families.

We had a great time picking apples and playing on the play sets they had for the kids. We went with a group and did a tour which was a lot of fun. Great place if you have little ones as it is smaller and not too far to walk to get apples. And the apples are delicious

Locally owned and operated great for class field trips, Girl/Boy Scout Troops or family outings! Friendly atmosphere, pick your own or stop by for a bundle - their homemade apple slushies and donuts are absolutely delicious!

Fun local orchard. Yummy apple or cherry donuts. Everything apple is available, and if not, they will try to meet your needs. You can place orders to be picked up another day. A fun local orchard that is just right for a trip with the family.

Allens apple orchard is a very nice family oriented place. There is a large orchard to pick apples from, hay rack rides and things for kids to play on. We really enjoyed our trip.

We go every year. We have found so many people have not picked from a tree before. In the fall, they have wagon rides and animals for smaller kids. The apples an cherries are great.

The new owners are going a fantastic job expanding the orchard. Their fall celebration this year was great for the kids and felt like the quintessential fall day. Between hot cider, fresh donuts, and hay rack ride it was a great day.
