Love staying at Kent Park. The camping facilities are good. Love the trails and path around the lake to walk. Plenty of activities to do. Do miss the host of the campground. Made it more personable.

What a beautiful park! Although there is no water or sewer, the park does have 30/50 amp. Sites are spread apart with many pull throughs and back ins. Most sites are large. Bathrooms is close to the playground. Take a walk around the pond. Each crossing has a trestle with its history. Lots of flowers and trees too.

We camp here very possible time we have. The campgrounds are nice and have gravel. Some need to be leveled. Lots of trees and places to hike close by. The host at the camp ground are wonderful people. The park rangers are also great. Spaces between campground is nice, they are not right next to you. The lake is full and ready for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. You can walk to the lake from the campground. Waiting for it to open to start camping again. Has camping for RV, trailers, and tents. Very affordable.

We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend and it was great! Campground seems very well equipped for RV's. Nice long level gravel pads. We were tent camping and this is my only complaint...it was difficult to find a level grassy spot to set-up. Most of the spots also lacked privacy - very open but there are a few that allow for more privacy. Luckily we were staying Sunday/Monday so we pretty much has pick of the park.
We arrived in the middle of a downpour but after it stopped raining the ranger came by and was able to get us firewood. It is usually available between 6pm and 6:30pm every night. Bathrooms were a little far apart and the only modern one is at the entrance but we survived.
Trails were very well maintained. We hiked portions of the Prairie Trail (go early-it gets really hot!), Lake Trail (wonderfully maintained - awesome bridges) and CEC Trail. Lake was recently drained and restoration has been completed. The beach was really nice and clean (closes at 8pm).
We arrived before the Conservation Education Center opened but were still able to check out the bird blind and access the outside areas of the park. Lots of great educational elements throughout.
All in all it's a great park and we will for sure be returning!!

This is a great park, many trails and pavilions. The lake has been drained for restoration, otherwise it would have been 5 star. The campgrounds are well maintained and the caretakers are a super nice couple that go the extra mile to help the campers when they have a problem.

Still a lovely park, but the lake is still under renovation, so don't expect it to look like the photo on this site. The lake was drained over a year ago and it will likely be another year until the restoration is done. I very much miss walking around the lake, as I have a memory tree planted there for a family member and have been unable to visit it since they closed the road. I wish it was not taking so long to finish this project.

Head out to FW Kent Park for a stroll with your dog around the lake. Level, easy trails suitable for everyone. Interesting history of area bridges and conservation district posted along lake path.
I visited in the fall when the beach was closed but it appears that there is a major beach/swimming/recreation operation during season.
Oh, admission to the park is FREE.

We stayed here for three nights in early October and absolutely loved it! It was only $20 a night for electrical hookups. Wifi is available throughout the campground. The park ranger was super friendly and helpful. There are a lot of hiking trails to enjoy. The lake is gorgeous with several historic bridges crossing it. It is VERY dark at night which was great for star gazing through the telescope but can be a little disconcerting when trying to find your way around the park at night. The road to the campground is very winding. Watch the signs carefully. The only negative I would give it is the fact that for so many campsites there are only two showers and one flush toilet for women and the same for men. Hence, it was difficult to get in at times. Loved the park, though, and will definitely return again for camping.

Pulled in lste this afternoon. Just needed a place to spend the evening. Campground is quite a way back through the woods. Have not hear a sound since we pulled in withe the exception of a few cars driving by. Camp host suggested site 1 2 or 3 if we wanted to get the best cell service. We chose 1 and have had great service both on Sprint and Verizon. Park employee in Uniform stopped to see if we needed firewood. Nice service. $20 for pull through with 50 amp service. No water or sewer available but dump station available. Park is pitch black. Be a good night for some star gazing. Mosquitos are big and have lots of friends. Bring bug spray.

Large park with several different options for outdoor fun. Drive around the entire park loop road to get a feel for what is available. Picnic areas & playgrounds for the kids, shelters for larger gatherings, a lake with beach, a nature trail around the lake with several transplanted bridges that provide interesting architectural details to admire during your stroll- there are park benches if you want to stop & rest or admire the view. Some Fishing in the lake - small dock for small non- motorized fishing boats but I mostly see people fishing from the banks. Decent campground with electric hookups and water available- shower house & playground in camping area- areas for campers &!tent sites too. There are nice areas where we have flown kites on a breezy day. Overall well maintained and nice weekend spot.
