It was a beautiful drive through the park but skip the swimming hole (at least in August) as it has way too much water and you cannot swim in it. The hanging bridge is not for the faint hearted! Very slippery walk down to waterfall. On the way back we stopped at San Antonio waterfall and were so glad we did as that was the perfect swimming hole!

The drive to this park alone is worth the trip! Rio Blanco is a very accessible trek into the Belizean jungle. The river itself is pristine and beautiful. Guided walks are available that highlight traditional Mayan medicinal plants. Very worthwhile especially if you're staying in the Punta Gorda area.

I visited many parks in Belize during a two week stay. Most were clean and well maintained. Rio Blanco is not, and at $20BZ, the entry fee is a bit high. The facilities were run down and dirty. The concrete walk to the falls and bridge was very nice, as were the falls and swimming hole.
The suspension bridge is solid, but the plank spacing is not for the faint of heart. The nature loop on the other side is not being maintained. The section along the river was clear, but the loop back through the jungle was badly overgrown in places and poorly marked.
Rio Blanco suffers in comparison to Cockscomb, Mayflower, and the many Mayan ruins sites. It needs some TLC.

My husband, kids (two teens ages 13 and 16), and I loved the waterfall and the flora we saw around the river itself. If you are expecting awe-inspiring, history book making falls and attractions, this is not the place. However, we had a wonderful couple of hours exploring the short trail and ending at the falls. My son and I jumped the high rocks and the lower ones, while my husband and daughter watched. The host didn't have much to do, as we were the only visitors, so he came out and swept the rocks clean for us. We had our own car, so it was an easy trip for us.

A cement walkway will take you to the falls. There is a large pool of water, great for swimming. In February it is possible to get behind the falls and swim through it. If you take the path away from the falls you will come to a swinging bridge. Went over the bridge and found a dirt path but did not take it. Be careful there are some large gaps between the boards on the bridge.

IT is a bit out of the way but worth a visit. The falls are tiny but set in beautiful surroundings. Loads of children had a swim, and there is a changing booth there.

Hard to get to. There are buses but pay close attention to their schedule. Ask when they return even if you think you know. Or drive yourself.
It’s a gorgeous road through some truly off the grid villages and forest, and the park itself is beautiful.

Our stop at the Rio Blanco Falls was the highlight of the hot day. We swam, explored behind the powerful falls, and I (nearly 60 years old) jumped off the (smaller) bluff into the clear cool water. Beautiful place!

Our mission group had a wonderful afternoon at this park. We were able to hike, relax in the water and jump of a cliff. There was fun for everyone. The easy to get to waterfall is just beautiful. Find your bliss at Rio Blanco National Park.

Nice swimming hole to visit on a hot day. Short walk from the parking lot to the stream and waterfall.There is a gift shop with local products available. Outhouse and changing rooms on site.
