Hello travelers, I write my opinion inside the dam, as well as other members have made about the service of the REAL ESTATE VILLA SERRANA. After adding my opinion on Google about this business and about the house we chose, I needed to add the comment here. So I RECOMMEND NOT RENTING BY REAL ESTATE VILLA SERRANA, I would also not trust the houses they have to rent, NEVER RENT the cabin called "The thousand and one nights": they deliver it dirty, with furniture about to break, through the taps comes a thread of water, they do not deliver it with water or light enabled, you have to look where the keys are, the garden without cutting the grass, so walking becomes very rugged and dangerous if there are animals hidden. Kitchen and bathroom made us disgusting to use. We didn't stay an hour after we left. We were refunded the total of the stay except the address we deposited to reserve. We fled after the table located in the grill fell apart supporting food, drink and cell phone.
It's really a shame that people like that offer that service destroying the image of the place. In Uruguay it is not difficult to find people like this. I'm so sorry. So if you want to visit and stay in this magical place rent by Airbnb accommodations of 4.9 stars up, never less.

Beautiful place Villa Serrana, however I DO NOT RECOMMEND renting through the VILLA SERRANA REAL ESTATE, the blonde who attends is rude, zero interest in solving any problem. The cabin was ok (El Secreto cabin) however we will not rent with them again. We ran out of water on the 2nd day of our stay and if we had not insisted they would not solve anything for us. They charge you $500 for "cleaning" but the cabin was dirty, the bathroom in very poor condition, the water better not even mention it, luckily I brought hypochlorite and cleaner... the floor wasn't even swept. The blankets were dirty with fluids, as were the couch and mattress. We delivered it in better condition than it was given to us without a doubt. Finally, they arrived an hour and a half later (3:28 p.m.) when the keys were handed over at 2 p.m., this was the icing on the cake, we were dying of heat waiting for them outside. Terrible, never again.

Lindo lugar. Para matear y disfrutar de la tranquilidad y el paisaje. OJO: varios carteles indican PROHIBIDO PESCAR. (Había leído el comentario de Ariel Bentos que dice que está permitido, y me vine con las cañas, al pepe...)

La represa es el lugar obligado a visitar estando en Villa Serrana. Está cuidado, tiene mesas y bancos para hacer un picnic o comida en familia. Se puede observar variedad de aves en la zona.

Very unique landscapes. If the weather helps, you could enjoy a nice picnic near the dam. Perfect place to enjoy a nice time with your family or partner.

La represa está realmente muy cuidada. Todo muy limpio y el paisaje hermoso como siempre. Es un placer respirar la tranquilidad y aire puro de las sierras. Vale la pena conocerlo.

Un lugar paradisiaco cuidado hermoso q hasta en verano tiene visitantes ... si me llamo la atencion q al final del puente por dde pasan los visitantes se siente feo olor y si observamos un poco es que tiran aguas servidas sin TRATAR de tal vez el complejo q esta mas arriba o de algun lado Eso deberia preocupar de DINAMA (no se permite andar ahi a caballo tirar papeles ensuciar etc....) contradicción ?

Esta vez, como había llovido, tuvimos suerte y corría muchísima agua. Es precioso ver fluir el agua. Todo muy prolijo, la pradera con el pasto bien cortado, los juegos para niños en buenas condiciones. Muy disfrutarle para la familia

Buenas quisiera saber si se puede acceder al Observatorio Eta Carinae, al parecer se encuentra cerrado por un fallo definido por la justicia en la disputa de los terrenos pero yo estoy interesada en ir con mi camara y aprovechar el espacio no el observatorio en si. No hay mucha informacion en la web.

Hola, podrías ir hasta Villa Serrana y específicamente hasta la zona del Observatorio. Preguntando a los locales te pueden guiar. Hay una inmobiliaria allí, que en una de esas te orientan, si no, el Ventorrillo de la Buena Vista o el Mesón de las Cañas, paras a comer algo y preguntas.
