We stopped in for lunch and ended up doing the Robotic milking tour, which we found very interesting. We met Mr Chaney and had some yummy ice cream afterwards. FYI the pimento cheese is sweet.

This was our first time here and we loved it. We didn’t do the farm tour because it was later in the evening but the food, which including ice cream, was great. Our kids had a lot of fun playing on the playground. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely come back.

I especially liked watching the robot milk the cows. This is a process handled completely by a robot with no human touch. A window in the milking barn exposes the entire process to viewers. Plus one can watch the milk flow into a large container then through tubes that carry it into a large storage container. They even bottle mild in their own dairy processing section. Our grandchildren liked watching the cows getting milked too, but their favorite part of the visit was eating lunch in the restaurant on the premises with Chaney's own ice cream for dessert. All in all a great learning experience that was fun too. They also enjoyed playing in the large playground on site.

Stopped into Chaney's for a quick ice cream cone. Staff was polite and ready to serve. Have been here a number of times. Only suggestion is that employees be trained in consistency in the size of ice cream scoop served.

Wonderful experience all the way around! We had dinner-burgers, salad, sandwich. Bought very cute reasonably priced t shirts! Went on the self guided barn tour which was fascinating. We met one cat :) and were fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Mr Chaney in the barn and learn even more about the dairy farm. And we also had yummy ice cream-the toasted coconut vanilla was delicious and the rest of my group had great shakes.

My family visited in July of 2022. We had lunch and ice cream. The food was good and it appeared that they may have been short staffed that day. A nice little shop as well.

Great lunch! Nice atmosphere - friendly service! Oh ... and the food was yummy! Burger, chicken salad and delicious ice cream! Super quick service too. We will be returning with the family - several fun things to do with little ones.

We intended this to be a quick stop in our day and ended up staying for a few hours! The self-guided tour isn’t much of anything, but then, it’s only $4. The coolest part is seeing the cows milked. There is not any encounter directly with any animals except the friendly barn cats. The gift shop and ice cream shop are excellent, and the portions are huge. There’s also a really nice playground where our kids ran off some energy.

We had read about this place and wanted to check it out. There was a line for ice cream, which was good as it gave us time to read all the flavors, and chat with the regulars in line about what they were getting. The ice cream was very good, and we ate it as we walked around the property a bit. Then we sat on the porch and everyone coming in, stopped and chatted with us. Overall very welcoming place and good ice cream.

October 29th is the last day of Pumpkin Festival at Jackson's (check BG Visitors Center website) but you might stop by there or Chaney's Barn to enjoy the fall bounty just the same.
Check out The Corvette Museum if you are a car or history buff. The Cosair Distillery Tour downtown may be of interest. A drive or walk through Western KY University is lovely anytime of the year. Fountain Square, our historic downtown park, is under renovation which may be completed in time for your visit. Take a stroll downtown and check out any of our great downtown restaurants.
Micks is more casual. Spencer's is great for coffee, pastries, Italian Creame Soda, and lighter fare. Mellow Mushroom has great pizza (opt for a seat in the back where windows allow for people watching). Dublin's is good Irish pub food.
In short, plenty to see and do even though you will visit on a Monday. Stop by the Visitors Center or visit their website prior to your visit for other things that may interest you.

$4-$6 per person to look at the farm. When we went there, our group (6 of us), was disappointed that the tour they were offering was a self-guided walking tour just to look at the farming equipment, etc. They said the tours are only for large groups who booked the tours in advance. We had little ones with us who would've liked to go, but didn't sound like there was anything to really see...everything was geared for the "large groups".
