Had a great day. Highly recommend this tour. Simon was a great host and we loved the entertainment. The chowder was the best!

Simon was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable about local history and the culture. It was beautiful sail over to the island with music in route. When we arrived on the island Simon and his friend played live music for us, then cooked us a wonderful sea food chowder. That is high praise from me as I typically do not eat sea food. I also have some mobility challenges and Simon was ready to make accommodations as need. I would not hesitate to do this tour again and have already recommended it to family and friends.

Simon Leblanc offers a great and sincere tour of the traditional Acadian lobster fishery at great Tusket Island. His approach is honest, warm and humorous. Four hour round trip tour to the island, topped by Simon’ live acoustic singing and his homemade chowder ( fresh fish, scallops, lobster, etc.) that he cooks while retuning his guitar. No faux tourist-trap stuff here. Highly recommended, super value for price. Will tell my fiends.

We went on a great little tour of the Tusket Island group by Simon, a local who grew up living on the islands like generations before him. This group of islands has very few homes but Simon’s extended family own a little part of it and now cottage there. He took us to his cottage where his niece’s bouncy castle was the highlight of the trip for the kids 😆.
He served us AMAZING homemade seafood chowder, played some awesome Acadian style music on his guitar & sang for us and toured us around his cottage which used to be a homestead for 9 lobster fishermen and his grandma was the hired cook. A great little tour of local living history.
We absolutely love explored low-key local culture and really getting a taste for the places we are visiting and this tour was perfect!
Simon - our only suggestion is to grab some lobster fishing tools to show on your tour! We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Simone was an amazing host. We went with our parents. My dad was a retired fisherman/lobsterman from the states. Simone pulled him right into the tour explaining how things were done in NS then compare with my dad. It was a lovely boat ride, delicious lunch then even some singing. We could not thank Simone and Andre enough! I would go again!

Fantastic tour. Simon is a true storyteller who educated and entertained our group. Chowder was incredible, filled with fresh seafood. A wonderful experience we highly recommend!

We went undeterred on a foggy day and it did not disappoint. Personal, friendly and knowledgeable with great food too. I was hoping we were going to be able to actually pull up lobster traps. but apparently that can only be done during lobster season which is November through April.

What an adventure and learning experience about lobster fishing and how the villages began this tradition and billion dollar industry. A really rich experienced enjoyed by the whole family!!

We booked a large group for the tour based only on online reviews. It was everything we expected and more! All of the staff were amazingly helpful. The guided tour was very informative. We were so lucky that the weather was very warm and no rain. Most on the tour had never been to Nova Scotia. What a way to experience the province!!! Thank you Tusket Island Tours!

Absolutely amazing experience. My family and I went on a fishing trip with Calvin. Trip out to the fishing location skimming across the beautiful bay is a treat in itself. Calvin was so enthusiastic and helpful. He got us all (10 year old, 13 year old plus my husband and I) up and running in no time. None of us had deep sea fished before but he showed us all what to do, no judging, and everyone was successful! We did the "catch clean cook experience" so were taken to Tusket Island on the way back and met Lucien who runs the company and cooked the fish at his beautiful house as well as his wonderful family. Tusket Island is beautiful and with the lobster wharfs and shanties a bit like stepping back in time. Sitting in the sunshine eating our freshly caught, freshly fried fish is an experience to remember always.
