Nice little garden in Livingston. The fella running it is very nice and helpful. He has a quaint gift shop with many items made in Kentucky. Don't trust Google Maps, we had to call to find it. It is on the other side of Livingston from where Google had us. The garden is nice and has a trail. We weren't able to walk all of it because there were prom photos happening and we didn't want to disturb. The parking lot is a bit tight. You can check out the peacocks and guineas as well.

We ran across the Rockcastle River Trading Co. by accident as we were driving down US 25 avoiding the I-75 traffic. It turned out to be more than just a garden store, it was a garden spot with walkways and views, even antique cars. Garden shop has unique local items as well.

This is a wonderful arts and interior store beside Skaggs Trail. A little deeper from the main road, and in the middle of green, it is very easy to miss, but definitely not worth missing. The store not only offers a variety of arts and interior options, but also have different information on tourism in neighboring areas in magazines and brochures. Entering the store gives you an instant homely feeling, further enhanced by the sweet old lady who runs the store and her 3 friendly dogs. The store goes beyond its products when you go out from the backdoor. It is a whole new level of green beauty with a walking path beside a river where you can take a short walk and beautiful pictures. All in all, it is something to keep your eye out for!

This place is very special, hidden in the underbrush of the fores. At first it looks like a piece of private property, a little house, but don't be fooled. Louis, the owner, is a sweet lady, and she'll eagerly invite you in to look around her store and the beautiful property. Enjoy a tour of the creek in the back with your guide Happy the dog, and a view of a lily-pond in her backyard that is truly breathtaking. Don't pass through Rockcastle without checking this place out.

Not just a store. Rockcastle River Trading Co. is an experience. There are some amazing photo opportunities for your party and some beautiful landscaping and foliage to enjoy. The lady who runs the place is very sweet and will invite you to walk around and enjoy the property. There is a path to a river and some beautiful water shots to be had. The store has a variety of home accents and art. A great stop with photos and memories to be made.

It's hard to see from the road, so slow down and keep your eyes peeled! It's worth it. The landscape and gardens are immaculate and a pleasure to explore. The kids loved walking along the river and seeing the goldfish pond. The store has a lovely selection of local products. The entire experience feeling like you're back in time. Slow down and enjoy!

This shop is a little slice of heaven right off of the Interstate. My daughter and I stopped here while en route elsewhere and were so pleasantly surprised. Jon Carloftis was loading merchandise into someone's car as we arrived. He was as friendly as you can imagine. His mother is a lovely soul, as well. The new garden path is gorgeous. I highly recommend this serendipitous spot!

I stumbled upon this location while showing Kentucky to family from out of town. It is a beautiful area along the river filled with garden paths, flowers and plants, and some history as well. We walked around at our leisure enjoying all of the different things to see. The lady of the store was very nice and knowledgable about everything on the grounds. It's amazing that this family invites strangers to walk around their homestead! If you like the Arboretum in Lexington, then don't miss out on this lovely place!

This is Jon Carloftis family business and gardens. Its a beautiful place to go for a walk along the river, take a picnic and relax or take your camera and enjoy. I loved the solitude of the place and its beauty.
