We made our first visit to Tree Top Adventures a couple of weeks ago. My grandson had just turned 7 and wanted to try the beginner's course. The instructor was extremely patient and very knowledgeable. He spent the extra time needed to make sure my grandson understood the mechanics of what he needed to do. The staff was very helpful when my grandson had an issue with his equipment at the zip line. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to spend the day outside with their kids or grand kids. We will definitely visit again.

We took our kids 14, 16, 18 to tree top adventures this Saturday. Check in was a breeze. Our instructor was knowledgeable and patient when I asked questions.
We did both green paths and a blue. I will say I was never afraid of being hurt - safe equipment - but holy moly what a workout !!!! Be ready.

Me (56yo) and my two grown kids thoroughly enjoyed the Treetop adventure. In the alotted time (2.5 hrs) we completed 4 out of 5 courses, and we think that was about right - easiest to moderately difficult. We skipped the hardest course and no one was complaining :) . It was more physical and demanding that I anticipated, which was a plus for me as i thought it would be mostly for kids. It does take some physical ability and daring, but would do again!!

Wow, what a great place! Tree Top Adventures exceeded my expectations in numerous ways. What is Tree Top Adventures? Start with a dense forest of tall trees. Add about 100 5' x 5' wooden platforms to those trees from 10' to 50' above ground. Forget about railings! Connect those platforms with steel cables. Add a variety of wood blocks, ropes, and carriages to those cables. Walk, crawl, swing, or zip from platform to platform. Try no to panic!
OK, you're secured by a clever harness system that guarantees you're always secured to at least one safety cable. But you can still fall a little, slip, or just freak out. Fortunately there are 5 different courses of varying difficulty, so you can start out on the yellow course that is no more than 10' off the ground. The brave (or stupid?) can climb a ladder that is no more than popsicle sticks up to the Black Diamond course. There is something for everyone. Those with a few of heights can enjoy observing from a series of trail below. Here's some tips for your adventure:
- The cost is $26 regardless of age. Coupons for $6 off are available to those staying at the [very] nearby Levi Jackson State Park campground. Locals get in for $18.
- Capacity is low, so crowded weekends may be unpleasant due to long waits. Each course can start handle another person about every two minutes. That's a capacity of about 150 people per hour. Tree Top Adventures has 150 harnesses, so that's their capacity. You could wait in line for up to an hour. Occasionally (probably frequently) a person freaks out on the course or is just really slow, further delaying your adventure.
- Check ahead for less busy days.
- Get there early to fill out the extensive waiver and pay.
- New visitors must sit through a 15 minute (or longer when crowded) training.
- Your visit is restricted to 2 hours as identified on your wristband, but the employees were't enforcing that rule on our day when crowds were moderate.
- Kids are separated into groups by their age and are restricted to certain-level courses.
- Kids under 7 can't participate
- Kids 7-9 are limited to the easiest Yellow course alone plus the two green courses with adult accompaniment. 10-12 year olds move up a level. But, the employees weren't too strict with these limitations. However, I found the restrictions to be very appropriate. Grab distances on the Blue and Black courses are too far for younger kids.
- Overall, the courses were harder than we expected! So start easy and move up.
- If you get stuck, and employee has to come up and belay you to the ground!
- The blue course has 2 over head road crossings. Amazing.
- Wear comfortable and sturdy shoes and clothes. Gloves are provided because you will be gripping steel cables.

Went today after getting rained out the first time we tried. The time you are given is perfect. We did all but the black climb and the blue twice. Definitely coming back this season!

This is my favorite ropes course yet! I’ve been on many others that don’t even compare to Tree Top Adventures. The best thing I liked about our experience is that there is something for all ages (7+) and ability levels. I felt very comfortable and safe, yet still challenged, with my 9 year old on the 3 easiest courses. The only time I felt a little wobbly was on the ladder. I’m sure the cable was secure but it felt like I was just climbing without any restrictions so I held on a little tighter! If you are in the area this is a “must-do” for families.
Recommendations:
If you have several smaller children you might want to make sure there are several adults. I would not bring all 3 of my sons here at the same time by myself.
Wear a little bug spray in the summer months. Bugs/spiders are literally everywhere!
Your climbing time is 2 hours so plan around meals. We went as soon as they opened and were there alone at least 20 minutes.
They provide water.
Portable potties only at this time but they are building something more permanent.
Recommendations:

My husband and I took his 9 year old niece. She was allowed on 3 of the 5 courses (had she been 10 she could have went of 4) and it was awesome!! I cannot wait to go back and try to other two courses. It is so well thought out and put together and I'm so happy we have such an awesome activity in our town!! Highly suggest it to anyone that has an opportunity to check it out!!! The staff was super friendly and helpful!!

This year was our second time visiting. Just like last year we had a great time! Good exercise with great views. The atmosphere is so relaxing. My son and I really enjoy cheering each other on and challenging one another. Great family time!

We took a group of 9 to the Treetop Adventure in Levi Jackson State Park, London Ky. All agreed that this was a great family activity for all ages with plenty of outdoor fun and fitness. We had two 63 year olds, one 38, a 17, a 15 and three 11 year olds and it was appropriate for all these ages.
I had been zip lining in Costa Rica and St Lucia and this was much more fun and challenging.
The course is set up in a small, forested area what is almost completely shaded. They call each part of the course an element and I believe there are about 60 elements over 4 or 5 courses. Our group did 4 courses in our 2 1/2 hour time allotment and everyone was able to complete each element although we would all say several were very challenging to complete. For smaller children or adults that might not be a physically able, sticking to the first one or two courses would be appropriate. However, there is certain level of fitness required to do even the easiest course.
The training session before starting was good but I was a little concerned that it was somewhat technical and wasn't sure everyone in the group understand. But there was additional training as we started the course. My previous experience with zip-lining included employees at each station to assist. On this course, they were available on the ground but we were on our own at each station. That was a little scary at first but it made you much more involved with the whole process and helping each other. And the system they used for cabling you to the trees and each element of the course felt very safe. You had 2 cables and one had to be attached at all times, you couldn't disconnect the 2nd line until the first was cabled. If you slipped off any of the elements, the cables would catch you immediately. With the 9 of us going through probably an average of 40-50 different elements each, we had only one person make a small slip where the cable was used.
Overall, I would highly recommend this for anyone from a couple up to a large family or even a business group that wanted a team building experience.
