Probably the last of the warm fall days.. we passed many walkers and bikers on the trails. I love being able to see through the trees now that most of the leaves are down.

A busy 60 degree day in one of Louisville’s most popular parks.

It was nice to see folks walking and enjoying the 60 degree weather here at one of Louisville’s largest and most popular parks. In a couple of weeks or so it should be much prettier with springtime blooms. It was nice to get some sunshine and fresh air after a dreary winter.

A great place to kiss your girlfriend

Not widely known is the park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed Central Park in New York City and many others. Cherokee is fabulous, like the others, and has many small hills that are excellent for sledding on the occasions it snow in Louisville. The bottom of a sled run is the perfect time to kiss your girlfriend who was holding on for dear life on the back.

Attacked and no one cared

Walking with my wife when a guy in a mask attacked use. Sprayed us with mace and threatened to kill us. I acted like I had a gun, and he took off. Police arrived 2 hours later.

A surprisingly nice hike around on a nice day. Great for kids and grown ups with a lot of shade to hide the sun. It was busy

Very nice place for a walk in the city

Its a big park. Not as nice as Central Park but still pretty and not so crowded. In a nice section of town.

Cherokee Park is one of my favorite parks in Louisville. The dog watching, the hills, the off road hiking areas, and the gorgeous grassy hill are just some of its perks!

Great place to wander

Close to downtown so we didnt have to go far from our hotel. It is not as big as Floyds Parklands but still a good place to visit.
