Valentine’s Day is a reason to treat yourself with chocolate. Also, if you enjoy bourbon you are hard pressed to not enjoy the craftsmanship of the product coming from Kentucky so you can mix the best of both worlds. Ruth Hunt Candy Co. who has an extensive menu of bourbon themed treats on their own, teamed up with Woodford Reserve to create Woodford Reserve Bourbon Chocolates. They are delicious treat that can be ordered online to be delivered.

We visited for Halloween treats for our kids. Everything there is made in-house. Lots of gift ideas from kids to adults. Their candy apples were amazing.

This was a spontaneous stop for me and husband, who was there for a company training.
Their trademark candies are the bourbon balls, cream candy and Blue Monday. But their chocolate meltaways are amazing.
When we went in, we told them that we had never been there before so one of the ladies told us the history of the brand and gave us samples of almost everything!
They do offer tours but they don’t advertise it. Just ask. They are very nice and if they can, they will give you one. It is a small operation, many things done still by hand. They were making bourbon balls the day we were there and we had samples fresh off the line. Oh.my.goodness! Melt in your mouth deliciousness!!
Don’t pass by the “ugly” table! Those are the candies that they can’t put in the regular packaging because they aren’t perfect. But they are still yummy!!
Highly recommended stop. Doesn’t take a long time but it’s very much worth it.

The store is the front of the manufacturing shop. There is so many types of candy made right there ; Blue Mondays, Cream Candy and Peanut Butter Roll (the best in the World). The staff is very courteous and helpful. There is a large selection of other candies such as Jelly Bellies of every favor and ole fashion candy like orange slices, jaw beakers, lollipops, corn candy.It was so enjoyable and fun. Like a Kid in a Candy store ...

I wanted to send some goodies to our family. The staff (especially Samantha & William) were very helpful. They sent our gifts from the store, even the one to our daughter overseas. There is more than candy to buy- books, stuffed animals, sauces, jewelry, and figurines.

Ruth Hunts has the best candy around my favorite besides their cream candy and Blue Monday, is their caramel and bourbon balls. Plus they have a gift section not only with wonderful gift items but many hard to find food items and Kentucky Proud items.

Great place to stop in for candy. The aroma gets you good. You gotta try a Blue Monday if you like chocolate covered cream candy. The chocolate is so good!
