Love this place in KY. Hike and drive around this area. Be prepared for some trails as some are easy and some are hard.

Wonderful place and a lot of trails for every level Any time of the year is fine to go. Weekends gets a bit crowded but understandable.

Party of six 50+ adults hiked comfortably, although wouldn’t call it ‘easy’. Beautiful vistas, narrow passages, lots of lush moss! Would definitely do it again!

If you have never taken in the fresh air of the mountains of Red River Gorge you must.... Right now is a beautiful time to take in the scenery and check out all the hiking areas available. They now offer primitaive camping for a small fee off backroads, or you can enjoy camping at a local camp site. We have camped twice at John Swift (not sure of the real name) and although they don't offer showers we love it here. The employees we have dealt with have been amazing. The camp ground is very quiet during quiet hours which from my experience with camping rarely happens. So check it out if just for a night.

We went down to RRG to do some day hiking. This is one of the nicest parks I've been to. The trails were very well kept and each one had a destination that you had to stop and take in. This is one of our favorites now and we are going to go back in the fall.

If you like hiking then this place is for you. There were many things to see as well. You should definitely see the sky rock. You’ll have to be careful as well. Some places are not very secure so you’ll have to watch your step.

Take your hiking shoes and your cameras. Beautiful drive and vistas. Trails for every skill level. Kayaking and wading, too.

We hiked here for three days and still did not do everything we wanted to do. Scenery, arches, and the hikes are unbelievable. I can say though some of the hikes were some of the most challenging I have ever done especially getting up to Grays Arch and Sky Bridge because I don't do well with narrow bridges with nothing on either side. . The Red River Gorge is a little known place in NW PA but I am telling everyone they need to go and see it.

Hi Sheila,
Now is a perfect time. The weather over the next few days is going to be amazing! Scattered showers are in the forecast for Saturday but the temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s starting tomorrow.
I would suggest taking a look at one of the cabin rental companies in Red River Gorge such as Red River Gorgeous or Red River Gorge Cabin Rentals. If you would prefer a bed and breakfast the Bowen Farm Bed & Breakfast is the best in the area without a doubt.
