Very nice walking/hiking area, good trial signs and lots of educational signs! It is pretty close to the highway so there is a lot of road noise on the trial. Still very enjoyable!!

Very nice grounds and very expansive with different types of flora. Choice of multiple walking paths; one suggestion would be benches along the routes for short rests. Fair amount of highway noise when walking on some of the trails. Overall nice, colorful grounds.

There are several well-maintained gardens at this experiment station. The rose garden is the best known. Admission is free. You can drive to each garden and park nearby.

If you have extra time in Baton Rouge you should visit this gardens. It is a working experimental station so you could drive around. It has an Old Farmers Village that is nice to see.

Shockingly close to 110, Perkins Row, Our Lady of the Lake. You pull in, start walking and forget you really are in the city. We were lucky to be there on a bug-free day on the cool side, which made the 4 mile walk so much more enjoyable.

Vi hade läst om denna trädgård innan resan och sett bilderna här på Tripadvisor men blev besvikna. Dåligt skyltat hur man skulle gå de olika stigarna och inte mycket att se där vi gick. Trädgården var fin i alla fall med en del blommor trots slutet av april.

The park was the site of an outdoor wedding I was attending. The spot seemed so nice I decided to come back. Well worth a visit just to view the artifacts associated with early farmers.

The Botanic Gardens are a must see for visitors to Baton Rouge. Trees and Trails which is part of the gardens takes you on a hike through the woods and wetlands. The rose gardens are spectacular and there is a delightful children's garden.

Friendly and helpful staff at the Welcome Center. The trails were not well kept at the time we were there - ruts and tire tracks. Maybe this had to do with the time of the year we were there - they had some rain. Much of the trail is close enough to the highway so that the peacefulness is punctuated with traffic noise. It was a nice stretch of the legs and there are educational plaques throughout with interesting information. My favorite part was the boardwalk over the swamp. Would like to return another time of the year. I am sure it will be a different experience.
