After many trips to door county, my wife and I finally made it all the way to the top: Gills Rock. We discovered this cute gift shop and really enjoyed it. Found some fun gifts for friends and family. Had a great conversation with the super friendly proprietor. This is the kind of out-of-the-way, small town place that really makes Door County great. Highly recommended!

After gathering some delectables at Charlie's Smokehouse, we stopped by this interesting shop.
There was a wonderful selection of items, many locally crafted, to browse and explore; jewelry, clothing, postcards, souvenirs, etc.
The proprietor was friendly, welcoming and informative. One of the advantages of "off-season" is that, for the shops that are apen, often times staff have the time and desire to answer questions, and share information.
If one is in the area, this shop certainly warrants a visit.

Beautiful pottery, sensationally scented homemade soaps, and sweet little finds. Beyond that, the owners are kind and a bit entertaining. Ask Peter for advice and he'll have a witty response for you. More affordable than other shops on the peninsula.

I really liked this place! They had cool items and I purchase some pottery, hand made soap (that smells awesome) and a great shirt. The owners were in and are very personable and welcoming. I would recommend this place for everyone.

Loved the selection of items. Prices are reasonable. We were pressed for time, but I could have bought several items I saw. Love the scented soaps and waxes.

Looking for t-shirts from Door County in adult and children sizes? Top O' the Thumb Gift Shop has a quality selection. In addition to postcards, there's a selection of books about the local area. The pottery and delectably scented soaps are artisan-made by Mary, who with her husband Peter own the shop. Choose among selections of wonderfully glazed hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery items, from unique mug designs to dishes of all types. In addition, chose from a selection of plant-based soaps made with essential oils, honey & beeswax. The jewelry, necklaces, earrings and bracelets are hand-made in the USA by Wisconsin artists. In addition, there is a selection of nautical-themed items, wind chimes, flip-flops and sweatshirts. Top O' the Thumb Gift Shop is conveniently located across from the Island Clipper boat to Washington Island and Charlie's Smokehouse.
