The trip was great! We went for a birthday, and Captain Rick even let us steer! Had a great time! The weather was great, and the boat felt very safe.

We really enjoyed our charter with Captain Rick. We left early in the AM and saw tons of wildlife. He let each of us sail the boat, that was so fun. It was so peaceful sailing - no engine motors - just us and the open sea!!
I really loved the tour of the bayou. PRO TIP: make sure to layer up, it was warm when we left but once we were out on the lake it got a little windy / chilly!! Make sure to bring a jacket. Thanks Captain Rick. You’re awesome. We will definitely be back!?

we had such a great experience with captain rick! it ended up being super windy and a few of us got seasick but he took great care of us. he even took us on an impromptu bayou tour since we had to come back early due to the seasickness.

Captain Rick was amazing. He took care of us and has so much expertise. I loves how much he knew about the local wildlife, just generally such a pleasure and so knowledgeable. I felt safe and we had a really fun and memorable experience, 10/10 would recommend.

We had an amazing time with captain Rick and his mate. We were 4 girls celebrating a 30th birthday and they received us super well, calm and very educated. They would answer any questions we had about sailing. I am doing my captain license at the moment and they were just the perfect teachers. We also had a little drink at the dock at the end and just kept talking like old friends.
During the sailing, rhe lake was exceptionnaly super choppy and we started being to much sea sick, so we turned back earlier than planned but they took the leftover time to do a quick tour of the bayou, which was fabulous. We saw wildlife even in winter. Fantastic crew!

My husband and I enjoyed spending the day on Lake Pontchartrain with Captain Rick learning not only how to sail, but even the science and history behind it. He had us finding the wind, adjusting the sail, steering at the helm, and tacking in no time. A wonderful experience that we hope to fully utilize one day with our on sailing adventures. Thanks Captain Rick for being a part of our 24th anniversary gift!

Took my Mom out of a birthday sunset cruise and the whole family had a great time! Captain Rick provided a fun and relaxing sailing experience. Great way to experience Lake Pontchartrain and the Mandeville Lakefront!

The info below is accurate. The Sunset is slightly more expensive at $420. But also includes champagne at sunset.
