A book, a couch, and a cup of tea -- bliss!

This is the first bookstore I've been in that offers tea service, complete with fancy china cups. It's a great little bookstore, with comfortable seating -- especially that big, beautiful brown leather couch -- to peruse their large variety of books. It was my favorite of the three downtown bookstores that I visited.

A great local bookstore

I love purchasing local books for my Librarian daughter while traveling and this store had such a great selection, I bought quite a few Maine authored books.
The owner was so nice and we loved chatting with her! Definitely a great stop!

Charming bookstore great place to get a lasting souvenir from your trip to Maine

Charming bookstore with a little something for everyone. Owner Julie was wonderful in directing me to a cookbook featuring Maine cuisine (perfect souvenir to remember our trip) open Monday through Saturday from 10-5. They also have events- a special children's author signing happened the morning before we arrived. There is a tea area and delicious cookies. There are sections for children, teens, adults, cookbooks, special interest, stationary, local authors and more. So friendly and helpful. If you are traveling through stop in and pick up a book from a local author, something in Maine travel or cuisine. That sure beats T shirt!
