For helpful tips on getting the most out of a visit to Belfast, the volunteers here were simply the best. They made me delighted to be in Belfast. The street-front visitor information center had helpful free printed maps and brochures for hospitality and attractions throughout the area. I used a couple of the maps to navigate the riverside path and streets in Belfast’s city center and waterfront districts. I most appreciated the friendly and enthusiastic assistance I received here; I disliked nothing.

We found ourselves unexpectedly in Belfast and were looking for a lunch spot. The gentleman at the desk was quick to help us and walked us out front to point down the hill toward our destination. I appreciated their help and suggestion tremendously.

Coming from a big city, I was excited to see so many stars on our first night in town. However, it still wasn't dark enough to see the Milky Way. I asked about where we could go for night sky viewing. The gentleman I spoke to suggested a city park that was surrounded by street lights. Thankfully, a passerby had better suggestions.

It's true that because Belfast is a small city, we are generally well lit. We don't have the very dark skies that some outlying areas may have, and we are sorry we did not direct you to somewhere more remote!

I heard about the 2018 Harbor Festival and tried to find some information about it on the Chamber's website. After a brief sentence, the site offered a link for "more information". When I clicked the link, it took me to my calendar but gave no information or schedule of events ...useless! You'd think they could promote their own events!

We're sorry that we did not have more info on that particular event, but it is not one that is put on by our Chamber! The HarborFest is held by the local Rotary Club, which is a member organization. This year, information about the event is located on our website at https://business.belfastmaine.org/events/details/harborfest-1612.

Every year stop there. Looking for info, posters etc. Someone new was at the desk and seemed more active in promoting the area. All in all, staff was good.

This is a must-do stop for info/events in the Belfast area. The walking maps of the town are easy to use and make for a fun day out.

Very friendly volunteers man the Chamber with all the brochures you'll need. Talk to them about the history of Belfast and some of the great dining available.
