It's closed. Google search shows that the store is open, so my husband and I drove 2 hours to come here, but the phone number is inop and the shelves are bare. So disappointing!

This 4th generation family-owned pottery offers mugs, bowls, plates and gifts that are created in-house using local clay. We were impressed by the craftsmanship, but it was not in our style so we just enjoyed looking without making a purchase.

I was very happy to find a great selection of fine pottery at that shop. The quality of there items is very high. The personal attention the owners gave was quite haplful in the selection of just the right present for a good freind.

Have been collecting pieces from Rackliffe for many years and each one is precious to me. The colors are gorgeous and they speak Maine. Owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Perfect place to get a special gift too.

Rackliffes pottery was an awesome experience.
The people were super friendly and they make and sell really high quality pottery made from clay they get from blue hill.
We bought a few items from them including a coffee cup and a berry bowl.

This family makes the most beautiful and functional kitchen ware! They are also a wonderful family and devoted to their art and community. Start with a set of 2 dishes and mugs, and grow your collection over the years. They will still be making them, don't worry!

Rackliffe Pottery is a family owned and run. Fourth Generation. Exceptional Pottery. Their pottery is sold everywhere in Maine and beyond. Every piece is signed by the artist. ( If it's not signed by the artist, don't buy it) If you go to Maine, don't leave with out a piece

While in Maine for a vacation trip, we headed even farther north to Bill Hill in search of this store. We were given some of this pottery years ago and my traveling companion was interested in some additional pieces. This is a real pottery studio with a small retail operation adjacent to it, not some outlet store, they make it all on site. The work is very well crafted and there is a solid timeless quality to it. Its not cheap, but handcrafted work by talented artists rarely is. The folks here are very friendly and helpful and although there is not a lot of inventory, its worth the trip if your nearby and in search of the real stuff.
