This experience was truly one to remember. The staff was attentive and truly cared about not only giving you a good experience but also teaching you about the local marine life. George and his assistant Ali are real locals who want to give you a real experience of what fishing in Maine consists of. I am far from a strong fisherman but Ali showed me the ropes and helped me through the process of casting and reeling to even releasing the fish. The best charters in my opinion are the ones that locals or true Mainers do and this was by far the best!

My wife and I did this for a significant anniversary (50th) and it was well worth it. George and his assistant Brooke were very friendly, helpful and practiced good Covid safety. We caught mackeral and stripers and the fishing was good. We met them on time and they dropped us off on time. Saw a beautiful part of the Maine coast. Support George in these tough times and book a fishing trip!

Three of us and a 7 year old, it has been years since we have gone and we had a wonderful time. We only did a four hour trip with the child but we absolutely will do something longer next season. Caught a bunch of Strippers my son loved the mackerel too. Captain and his first mate were very professional and let us enjoy our time. We were not disappointed we will be calling again next summer!

Second trip with Charger Sportfishing, had to go all the way to Casco Bay as closer areas were closed to fishing. Trip was a birthday present for my grandson, who had never hooked a striped bass. He caught four, including a 24-incher! Grampa caught two as well. Great crew, good equipment. Recommended!

We had a great time for our first fishing trip with Captain George & Jess! We are definitely novice anglers and they made us feel right at home. We had a great time!

My husband, son, and I went fishing with the Charger crew last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This was our second time going out on this boat, and we were glad to see that it would be possible this vacation trip. We chose the 4-hour afternoon trip to fish for mackerel and stripers. All of the fishing gear was provided for us, and the captain and his first mate were very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We caught many mackerel and one striper. We were all impressed with the owner's kindness and diligence in frequently moving to different spots to ensure that someone in our family could catch a striper. This experience offers so much more than fishing. The boat ride is exhilarating and allows one to see stunning views of the magical Maine coastline. As a family on a budget, I thought this fishing trip was a great value; it breaks down to $20 per person per hour for a most enjoyable fishing experience, a boat excursion, and gorgeous views of the Maine coastline. I would highly recommend this company and crew!

Went out fished for mackerel for like a half hour,didn't even try for blue fish not happy no fish money back would be nice

I called and emailed several times. Some of the answers. Well we may still be in the water, call when you arrive. "I don't think we are fishing that day" Thursday's weather doesn't look too good (it was spectacular!) Then when I arrived and called: "We are all booked up" Geesh, what a run around. Just tell me you don't want to go or whatever!

We have been going out with George from Charger Charters for more than 20 years and have never been disappointed. He offers 1/2 day fishing tours (4 hrs). Mostly fishing for mackeral and stripped bass or blue fish. Six hour and all day tours are also available. The first year we came up to Boothbay Harbor we went out with another charter company and were disappointed. Since then, we have been going out with Charger Charters. Definitely something we book every year we come up to Boothbay Harbor!
