This section of Camden is just incredibly beautiful and historic at the same time. Over 60 homes are on the National Register. Just a walk around the neighborhood is wonderful.

Beautiful historic homes and inns that are architectural marvels, great library, harborview park designed by the Olmsted Brothers, and some eyecatching storefronts in the shopping district.

Drive around this area only takes 10 minutes. Fun to look at the homes, but would have liked to have a walking tour or home visits of some historical residences, which was not available.

One of the nicer villages in Maine. Great walks around the historic district and surrounding areas. The stores are a little "touristy," but nice homes and carefully attended gardens.

Lots of great shops. I loved Stonewall Kitchen. Full of Made in Maine jams. Nice little walk. Had a picnic at Camden Harbor Park.

We went to Portland and Camden on this visit and we found Camden more responsible and vibrant than Portland. Shops and restaurants were open and almost everybody was wearing a mask and kept distance. Lots of choices and a good atmosphere.

This is the place to stay. High Street is just beautiful. The historic homes are from the 19th century and have a date plaque on each building. The range was approximately 1810-1865. The street is lined with B&Bs and it is an easy walk to the center of Camden.

Camden is worth taking a day to check out. The harbor is pretty and the tourist shops are great for us tourists.
