Mud Brook group camping is up the road from main park and very private for the group. Flat peninsula jets out giving plenty of tent spots all over looking the water. Shallow but nice swimming area. Our group had 16 people all in seperate tents and spread out nicely. Beautiful sunsets over the lake. Site has several picnic tables, 2 fire rings, a lean to, plenty of parking and an out house. One must drive a short distance back up the road for water and shower stations. "Comfort station" bathhouses are very nice.

Love to go to Lily Bay! We always make sure we walk in the park when we are up there. The lake and wildlife can't be beat. It would be a great spot to bring the family on the weekend and picnic. I wanted to swim in the lake but it was just too cold. The deer are abundant and not afraid of people at all. They just stare at you from the other side of the road. We'll be back.

We didn't camp, only hiked. Views of the water from certain parts of the trail , easy to follow and hike, do have to cross a few paved areas and pick it up again on the other side. Not crowded. Enjoyable and very walkable, but very buggy!! Slightly annoying even after spraying, so be prepared.

A very beautiful state park. Staff helpful and friendly. Will need to come back and camp for a few days. Sites had plenty of room and privacy

Beautiful State park, the sites are spacious and mostly private, the area and park itself has so many recreational opportunities . Loved it here and will return.

The park is beautiful. The tent site I camped on was on a small peninsula with easy access to the water. The site was flat and the fire pit and picnic table all in good repair. The beach is well cared for and a great place to swim (although the water is cold - but clear). Bathrooms were well spaced, but did need to be pumped out. The desk person was exceedingly nice and informative. I would return in a heartbeat.

The scenery is breathtaking. There is plenty of space for kids to run,picnic areas.

Really nice state park. It was not crowded at all and very peaceful. The ducks were not fans of the humans and thought they owned the beach. Wished there were a few more hiking trails. A must see if you're in the area!

We spent a lovely morning hiking the trail around the lake. The views at Turtle Point and Journal Beach were beautiful. Trail was well maintained and clearly marked. It is a perfect hike for those who are looking for something shorter and less challenging than some of the other hikes in the area. The ranger at check in was very friendly and helpful.

Can you van camp there and how much a night is charged? Do you need a reservation? Are the sites close together? And are there canoe/kayak rentals there?

We visited only during day hikes. The campsites looked close together to me, and it seemed there were vans. As this is a Maine State Park I think all charges should be on their website. Sorry for limited info. Very beautiful area.

There are no on-site hook ups. There is water dispersed around the campground, very nice pit toilets adjacent to campsites, and a bathhouse at the beginning of the entrance to the campground. But the sites are beautiful.

We have a 27' camper and it was easy. The staff there is also very helpful and can help direct you if you ask. The first time we drove our camper, we got a flat on the big rocks by the entrance (watch out for them) and it was hard enough backing in a new camper but with a flat tire and bent rim was even harder! The staff drove right up and asked us if we needed their help. They are very friendly!

Long time tent campers but @ 70 we finally are getting a camper. Our first adventure will be @ Lily Bay. Is 21 easy access for @ 20 foot camper? We are new to pulling anything ! Wish us luck.

We were traveling in a car, but from my recollection the entrance road has easy access and the campground spaces were decent size. The gate staff was extremely friendly so I am sure they will be happy to assist you. Have a great time. It is a beautiful park. Bench by water great place to watch sunset.

I'm so sorry, I don't know at all! But I see other people have steered you in the right direction. I do hope you will enjoy your there...and if you find a large black dog collar embroidered with BELLA on one side and SERVICE DOG on the other, please let me know! We lost it while hiking. :-(
