While there are many choices for sailing ventures out of Perkins Cove, ME, we selected THE best. We four friends enjoy the most relaxing venture of our total trip to Maine. The sun was shining, clouds peppered the sky all around, and the wind was just perfect for the 2 hour trip.
And best of all was Captain Jack and his Assistant. Jack was not only professional in his presentation of interesting facts and information about the area and of course sailing in general, he was engaging and personal in his interaction with us the entire time.
If you are wanting the BEST sailing experience from Perkin's Cove, book a trip with Captain Jack and his Silverlining Sailing Co.
And best of all was Captain Jack and his Assistant. Jack was not only professional in his presentation of interesting facts and information about the area and of course sailing in general, he was engaging and personal in his interaction with us the entire time.

This experience was truly amazing! Captain Jack is a wealth of nautical information. Remember this a racing vessel so get ready for a unbelievable ride. Did the 4:30 departure and was a great time of day to be on the water.

We had the most amazing morning sail with captain Jack and his junior mate George. Jack could not have been nicer and more informed about everything sailing and Maine. Our sail was quiet and enjoyable and it was such a special part of our trip to Maine. He let our kids drive the sailboat and made us feel comfortable the entire time. There was not a ton of wind at first - but he found it along the coast and we had a super morning! Book him far in advance as he fills up fast - he is the BEST around!!!! Thank you Jack!

We decided to try this sailing activity based upon the TripAdvisor reviews. Well, it was a wonderful sunset sail experience and truly enjoyed Captain Jack and Michael. Two very nice men that clearly enjoy what they do and it was just such a pleasure making this experience a part of our Coastal Maine vacation! Ogunquit and the Cove were such a lovely area in our travels and I would highly recommend to sail with Silverlining when visiting Perkins Cove!

What a terrific value! My wife and I enjoyed a 90-minute afternoon sail with Captain Jack, Michael and George. And... we had this to ourselves! The experience was breathtaking and the gentlemen were so kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend - and make sure you take the marginal way walk before the sail!

Absolutely spectacular. Captain Jack is so experienced and knowledgeable about sailing. The whole experience was super fun and relaxing as we flew through the water in Ogunquit. So much better than the competition. A must do.

My wife and I booked the sailing cruise with Jack during our honeymoon trip to Ogunquit and are so glad we got to do it. The experience with Jack and his first mate was just wonderful. They were very kind and professional in every way. Due to low tides our trip did not start at the scheduled time, but jack was so apologetic even though this was not something he could've avoided. Those are the occurrences when doing business with mother nature.
The cruise was so enjoyable with my wife. Jack and Chase engaged with us, a total of 6 people on board, but at the same time gave us our privacy to enjoy each other's company and savor the moment on the sea. The day was beautiful for a cruise and even though we were told to bring a light jacket, we did not need one. It was sunny and pleasant with a soothing presence on board.
Jack tried to make up for most of the time lost due to the delayed start and also offered a refund without anyone ever mentioning about a refund. He did not have to do that but he did. If we decide to visit Ogunquit again, I'd highly recommend Silver lining Sailing Cruises to any couple look.g for an enjoyable experience.

This was our first time sailing on a small boat. We had an awesome sail 9/12. It was a beautiful day and a relaxing time. Capt. Jack was very responsive to our questions. You could tell he loves what he does. If you have the chance book Silverlining for a cruise. The online booking system was very easy to use. I hope to be back some day and enjoy a sunset cruise. Thank you Capt. Jack and Michael!

My son and I have been coming up to Maine for years to have a sail! This was our first year on the silver lining and it was the best!!! We had a wonderful time it was relaxing and such a blessing!

Check their website for complete info. There is a link on their TripAdvisor listing. You can book there effortlessly, and they credit you immediately if weather cancels the trip, so...no worries! It took us 3 bookings before Mother Nature cooperated! They do currently show availability for 8/10, but it fills up fast, so don’t delay. You will love everything about Captain Jack and his boat!

Hi. I am in my 50's and my husband is 80. We will be Ogunquit Sept26-29. This sounds like a fun adventure. (We did a race on a retired America's Cup boat in the West Indies. 9:30 is too early for us- what other times do you sail and how would we get to you from School St?
