Easy Walk

We saw a deer close up and a pileated woodpecker. There are a couple of nice views across the town cove looking to Main Street Rangeley.

The walk is flat and easy. Great for small kids. The trailhead is only a few minutes from downtown Rangeley. Wear bug spray.

Thank you for your review, Joseph! This is one of our favorite places to sneak off to during the workday! It's so close to town, a quick and easy hike AND often we see scat or tracks from our animal friends.

Pretty one mile walk

Nice easy one mile hike through the Preserve. Nothing spectacular, just a nice walk. One thing to think about: mosquitoes were really bad and my wife and I got bit up pretty good. Consider bug spray.

Short and pleasant

This is a relatively flat nature walk that comes upon two nice spots to look out at Rangeley Lake. The trail winds its way through different tree habitats and vegetation. Often we see loons or herons from one of the lookouts because the adjacent cove is fairly quiet. (I think some trail maintenance is planned for Fall 2017.)

Thank you for reviewing one of RLHT's trails Callisto. ~500 ft of bog bridging has been replaced as of November 2017. It looks great! We hope you get the opportunity to enjoy it!
