This is an a typical “Country Store” trying to sell things to tourists… you can spend $5.25 on a birthday card, or perhaps $4.50 on a Chunky candy bar. They sell the kitchen trinkets that you “need” - a pice of steel wool that sits in your teakettle, or perhaps a hedgehog tooth pick holder?
The best part of the store is that they are a reseller of Gilford’s Ice cream.

You won't have to look far to find something to love at the out-of-the way general store. We picked up some goodies, candy and don't leave without a scoop of Gifford's ice cream!

Found this hidden gem & once I saw the sign for "hot peanuts" knew I had to stop & check it out. This store is like walking back in time. It's very clean & organized. Chocked full of fun old fashioned toys & games for kids & kids at heart, along with a whole wall of old time candy in glass jars. They also sell ice cream at the side window. There's a small room full of kitchen gadgets & an upstairs with unique finds. Got some cute mementos to remember Maine. Don't miss this hidden gem!

I love the fact that this is the classic New England general store, and then some, but please consider doing a clean and decent outdoor bathroom in lieu of the porta potty. Gross!

What do you get when you pack the following into an old-timey general store: hard-to-find housewares, crafts, novelties, toys, traditional souvenirs, penny candy plus an ice cream stand and a comfortable, shady spot in which to sit and enjoy a generous hand-packed cone of Maine-made Gifford's ice cream? The Granite Hall Store - that's what. hen visiting Pemaquid Peninsula, be sure to stop by.

Great little shop with old fashioned candy, toys, and wonderful ice cream. A bit cramped, but we always stop when we are down that way.

The grandchildren cannot visit without a stop at Granite Hall for the penny candy and ice cream. It is their favorite thing to look forward to and I believe all the adults love it as much as they do. Wonderful little country store, a must visit. With a friendly staff and a great atmosphere near the lobster docks and restaurants, it is perfectly located for a visit. This one is not to be missed, it is a real Maine treasure. Thank you Sara!

If you long to lose time sorting through gadgets, nostalgia, and some fine handicrafts this is your spot.
The most quaint French mansard building filled with fun toys, kitchen oddities, paper goods and PENNY CANDY (which is a bit pricier now, but is oh so satisfying- I clutch that small brown bag closely, but will share begrudgingly or better, trade) This is a must for me anytime close to Round Pond. The Anchor is just fown the road for dinner or for seafood in the tough head down the hill to Muscongus Bay Lobster....and back to Granite Hall for Giffords ice cream at the back window!
